Recommendation to Eefje: Since the soil is too hard for planting, you could use a permaculture principle and add soil over it and grow on top. The plants will form their own root beds.

Maybe you should try a raised bed garden. My friend used pallets she got for free and lined the inside of the boxes she made. The good thing about raised beds is you can bring in good dirt to fill them.

This is a beautiful house. Eefje and her husband have done an excellent job in making this into a wonderful home. One of the best I have ever seen.

This doesn't feel like a tiny house, love it, including the outside space which I bet is lovely in the summer, I could really see myself living somewhere like this.

Such a great space! I was shocked it's only 390 sq ft-it seems much larger-wonderful windows and the storage is all fantastic. The bathroom sink is the coolest thing I've ever seen! Did she say this home is in the Netherlands?

I love this project. It really looks comfortable. The front deck is a dream. May I suggest that you get someone to help you style it a little so it looks less new and more cozy on video. Other than that it looks so spacious. There is enough private space and together space so a couple can have alone time and together time.

The dining chairs remind me of Hans Atillier's (sp?) work. Nicely done! Beautiful little house too!

I have a pallet/pot garden. Plastic on the ground with pallets ontop, then use all kinds of grow bags and containers to grow fruit and veggies. It’s right behind the house, and next to the hose. I surrounded it with chicken wire and posts, and kept it three feet from the house, and cut grass short all the way around it to prevent weeds and pests. My backyard used to be a gravel driveway, and I took much time to sprinkle dirt and grass seed and moved the driveway to the side of the house. This way, when I look out my kitchen window I see my garden, not my truck. Lol. Inside my garden with the plastic, there are no weeds. Since I cannot go into the sun, this way I can tend to my plants in the evenings. In your case, you may want to use raised beds, stock tanks are lovely, and in walkways you can use tar paper or roofing tiles to then be weed free without using herbicides. The area might have been sprayed with herbicides, is so then nothing will grow. The ground would be unusable for about 7-10 years. If creating open bottom raised beds, I would dig about a foot of the dirt out, then order a load of clean top soil to fill beds.

I was very interested in that picturesque shower with the beach scenery. However, it was not discussed. I have never seen anything like that and wondered if was her own photo image and who created it. I really like the design of this house. The clay soils are usually great for a lot of plants. I live in Australia and my garden is grown on clay soils...you can add Gypsum (sorry do not know what its called outside of Australia) to the soil to make it more friable. Or as has been mentioned a no dig style set up or raised garden beds with added soil.

That microwave is way too high. U You'd have to be 10 feet tall to use it. That place looks soooo outdated...from the color on the walls to the light fixture, as well as the bedding, floor lamp & the curtains.

I love this house okay I think it's perfect size for me and my two cats but I will say this the kitchen should have gone with the living room is the dining table is not necessary it's not a necessary element you could have used that as your workspace and then you could have used the workspace as a walk-in closet that would have been genius but you did what you did and it looks good as it is for you but for me personally I would have completely rearranged all that s*** and it eliminated that dining table it's not necessary element in a tiny house come on
