Still doesn’t make sense. They don’t age, period. I’m pretty sure Perturabo was aged who knows how many thousands of years by the time manipulating Hrud, and he didn’t physically age at all.

i don't pay much attention to when GW says the galaxy/imperium is at risk because we all know they will never actually put the imperium at risk, they need to sell models of space marines so they 100% will never have the imperium destroyed. also realistically with the silent king hunting the bugs with an ever so slowly but surely unifying necron empire behind him, the bugs will have bigger problems than girlyman's imperium to deal with.

there'll be a bit of unease but right now I think there's bigger fish to fry, I imagine the Lion will become more of a warmaster/offensive type while Gulliman will be focusing on the more defensive/logistical stuff, that way both will have their purpose and specialisation.

I know it’s the grim dark future but I hope it’s rather heartwarming. It’ll likely be a bit tense at first, a few comments thrown here and there, might even be a few punches, but the reunion leads to a hug. They’re not beyond since Lion gave Roboute one before believe it or not.

I am overjoyed with the new Lion model. I actually really like his face; pulling his hair back emphasizes it more and the cut of his facial hair really gives him dramatic angles. I just find that it gives him a lot of gravitas and character. It's definitely a bold move that, for me at least, works. All the head options are great though, so there's an option for everyone. I'm just glad he's back, I've waited decades for this!

From what I have found Majorkill told his prediction from a video titled “which loyalists primarch will return next” he made that over a year ago. Valrak made his prediction titled “The lion is returning in Warhammer 40k” and Valrak made that about 7 months ago.

I had a feeling the Lion would have been next to return. I was hoping I'd be wrong and it would be either Leman or Corax. A 40k Corax would be insane; a loyalist daemon primarch made of shadows and ravens. Unfortunately I don't think we'll be seeing him for a while, likely after Lorgar given their history.

Personal theory is that Lion alongside leading the renewed Dark Angels chapter, and possibly it's successors, may be the Military Imperial Governor of sorts where Bobby G will be the Administrator of it. But it all depends on how these two bros will meet again. If the two just decides to brohug so hard that somewhere along the galaxy it forces Vulkan to come back, even when all of his artifacts not fully recovered by his boyz.

I just got a crazy idea! What if the artifact that Vashtorr was after on The Rock was the Emperor's shield that the Lion now wields? All of Abaddon's and Vashtorr's plans go up in smoke because the last artifact they need for The Key is being used against them and in the hands of one of the few entities that they will have a hell of a time prying it from. Also, your a wonderful man Majorkill but put your clothes back on!

@Nostroman Praetor He was heavily injured by Luther when the Caliban DA rebelled against the returning DA. He was put in stasis to be healed and it was said he'd reawaken when the Imperium was in it's darkest hour.

@treisen adams the lion was never in stasis, that was roboute. On the stream they even mention that, which is why the lion looks aged. He was asleep for 11,000 years, guilliman isn't even close to 1000 as he was in stasis during his near death experience with fulgrim.

Welp, I knew this was coming. The moment I learned that Lion was not dead but “asleep” I knew he would come back. Maybe he can rule the “Dark Half” of the Imperium while Guilliman rules the “Light Half”.

I wonder if the miniature of Johnson will come in the regular Arks of Omen time interval. After all, it is the last Arks of Omen book and then the mini should also come, right? If that's the case (which I hope it is), then Johnson is still coming in 9th edition, and that's already in a month to a month and a half. That would be within the scope of Arks of Omen, but still way too short notice for such an announcement as a new Primarch.

I've waited roughly a quarter of a century for my Primarch to return. I actually shed a tear when I first saw the new model. Of course he aged, he's been sleeping, not dead like guilliman. I don't think there will be a power struggle, I feel like Lion wil has spoken with Big E, that's why he's got the shield. Maybe he will be the commander of the battles here on in, and roboutte will be the diplomat of the Imperium, each taking lead in their respective skill set. Let's face it, Emps had to save roboutte once already, and he was never the best in combat compared to some of his brothers. So it makes sense for it narrative to go that way

I reeeeaaally feel unsure about the Lion absorbing the Dark Angels and the Fallen into a legion size. I highly doubt he'd contest Gulliman either as I doubt he'd envy his position of sorting out all the logistics. I do think Guilliman may give the Lion his blessing to take a legion size force. I do imagine that'll trigger the High Lords though into Horus Heresy PTSD but we'll see. I actually wonder if they'll do a new version of the Codex Astartes raising the force size cap from 1000 to 10,000 (or at least several thousand). That could be very interesting and reasonable given every other army is amassing into insane numbers.

The Lion returning could go either way for the Imperium, after all, he and Guilliman had had a very bad falling out before they both ended up in stasis, it could split the Imperium between them

@Evan Light Ye, Guilliman woke up in the middle of the fray, then had to fight his way all the way to Terra for a talk with The Emperor that...didn't go as well as he wished. The Lion would likely be on the same position, having to fight his way to a reunion. He has it somewhat easier than Guilliman though, as the Indomitus Crusade already cleaned up a lot of the mess the 13th Black Crusade caused.
