Эм, поддерживаю спец опирацию, и? У меня дом в Крыму, я гражданин РФ и признаю российскую власть. Нам Украина за 8 лет ничего полезного не сделала, только канал дамбой перекрыла, и половину рек на границе пересушила.
Lyrics: Another head hangs lowly Child is slowly taken And the violence, caused such silence Who are we mistaken? But you see, it's not me It's not my family In your head, in your head, they are fighting With their tanks, and their bombs And their bombs, and their guns In your head, in your head they are crying In your head, in your head Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie What's in your head, in your head Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie, oh Du, du, du, du Du, du, du, du Du, du, du, du Du, du, du, du Another mother's breaking Heart is taking over When the violence causes silence We must be mistaken It's the same old theme Since nineteen-sixteen In your head, in your head, they're still fighting With their tanks, and their bombs And their bombs, and their guns In your head, in your head, they are dying In your head, in your head Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie What's in your head, in your head Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie, oh oh oh oh oh oh oh ie-ie oh Please like so that others can find this easily.
Such a powerful song. You can hear the pain and emotion in Delores voice. This song was written at a time when the Irish and English people were crying out for peace after nearly 25 years of bloodshed. I like to think it a part to play in the push for a resolution to the troubles.
. I heard this track on the BBC's Desert Island Discs today and had to listen to the full version straight away as it is so powerful. Very sorry to hear the lead singer Dolores O'Riordan is no longer with us - even after death she is still winning new fans for her music. .
Yes. Gives me chills like Nina Simone, Robert Johnson... There is an ineffable undercurrent inherent in their work. The source might be similar or markedly disparate, but in each case it's indisputably palpable.
Help us get Zombie to a billion views! Achieving this milestone will make "Zombie" the first ever music video by an Irish band to reach one billion views on BRvid, taking its place in a select group of iconic rock music videos released before 2003 to hit that mark, including Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" and Guns N' Roses' "November Rain." #ZombieToABillion
This band came into my life when I was still a kid. In love with the nostalgia that this amazing band gives me. A taste of what the 80s and 90s were like. I have no words to describe how much I love this band and how much I miss Dolores. May she rest in peace, left us an incredible voice to hear.
Love this song so much, I sing every day, I bet Dolores and you guys did a hard and awesome work! I miss Dolores, died at a young age, sad the legend died. 😭
@Josh Marshall It goes further back than that. Look up William of Orange and you'll see what the protestants did to the catholics. Basically, the soldiers were there to try and keep the peace between the 2 religions.
@Josh Marshall not exactly. There were multiple paramilitaries such as the IRA, UDA, UDF, RUC, and the IRA. The British army were deployed and the British government did help with non Irish paramilitaries but all the bombings were from paramilitaries groups as were the main focuses of the troubles though the British army definitely did not help the Catholic population
@Gameri it's the troubles between UK and Northern Ireland UK soldiers moved in Northern Ireland to stop the troubles but it didn't work so it was a big fight between UK soldiers and the ira
I come from Greece and when there was not yt, we were watching MTV in order to watch the video clip and listen to this epic song, my generation loved this song and the proud Ireland.
This is the best Irish rock song ever made. The message still holds more than ever because Russias war against Ukraine. Ukraine will win this war and Russia will lose.
It's a tragedy so few people realise this was a reaction to the slaughter of two children in Warrington, by Republican terrorists. RIP Johnathan Ball and Tim Parry. Your memories will live on.
First and foremost, I am a death metalhead, and don't listen to much other than that, but this song has always given me chills since it came out, and still does to this day.
Love this song gives me goosebumps every time I listen 2 it it's a song for any age and a song tat, ll always be around as long as we have electric 2 listen 2 it...
It's incredible when 25+ year old songs get 1b views on youtube, that tells you how timeless this song is. Truly a haunting song and musical masterpiece
She uses an Irish traditional singing technique called Keening. it's similar to a yodel. it's traditionally used for grieving, and funeral rites. She included it here to symbolize grief for children killed in an IRA bombing, and for the troubles in general
@ཐརཅ྄ིུ ཀཱཡུཀིཡུཉ྄ Dude, the song is about a very specific event, a terrorist attack, in which 2 children were killed. The song is specifically anti-war, anti-IRA, and anti-terrorism.
@2a She drowned in the bathtub. She had a LOT of alcohol in her system at the time. She was dealing with depression, so it's not clear if it was accidental or suicide. Very sad.
When they came to fame, I got so much slack for absolutely loving their riff and her urgent voice. Decades later, they have a whole new and younger following after her tragic death. God bless Delores. ❤️
I listen to music daily, have 45000 songs detected in my playlists on spotify. Listen to various various genres and enjoy all of them. But this song always resonated with me more than anything else, its like my heartbeat. The emotion/picture/feeling is after all this years still so distant to me. Its melancholically warm, its moisty rainy foggy grey green color that dissociates with the black and white world. Still very uknown to me. Hence why i think i just realized it might be my favourite track of all time
@José Neto I hope you get this message Jose I'm about two years too late but I love the way you think even if you and I are wrong it shows that someone has the ability the think outside the box to solve problems! Never say die in my friend!
