For anyone who has ordered or got a Starlink dish/internet. I would please like the contact information to get in touch with them. I put a payment down over a month ago for this. An online search says to click "your order" to track. There is NO Your ORDER or MY ORDER tab on the website page. There is no contact information what so ever. I have googled this for over an hour and find nothing but dead ends.

Someone must make John Searl meet Elon Musk. Those two are the key. These two have the technology and the means to make it happen. If Elon Musk introduces John Searls technology, we can make this happen. I’ve analyzed John Searls technology and I really do believe he is the key.

Hey, SpaceX, when the booster lends it we the viewers always see loss of signal. I understand that the booster interferes with the satellite dish on the ship, right? Why don't you fix this by deploying a smaller vessel with the dish at some distance from the drone ship??? And why not install better cameras on the rocket? Excuse me, but sometimes they look like those UFO videos taken on a calculator. Please, mount 4K cameras on the rocket!!!

You are ruining the night sky for millions of people around the world. I've never seen anyone be so selfish. How the hell are people going to take valuable important pictures of space from the earth. You have no right to do this. You are a disgrace. You do not care one bit about this planet or its people. Elon musk you have no right to ruin the night sky for the entire population of earth. This is just pure greed. We don't need these satellites. We do however need to study the universe and you are going to ruin this for the entire globe. You do not have the right to decide who on earth gets to image the night sky and who doesn't. Absolute disgrace.
Ethan Roberts
Ethan Roberts Mês atrás
@Paul Scott "they would leave a black streak across a long exposure image" this shows you really don't understand how a long exposure works. You would not see a dark streak across the image, the sensor only picks up light and if something isn't reflecting light, it wouldn't be picked up. If that were the case, why don't telescopes see black streaks all the time whenever an unilluminated satellite passes in front? That's because that's not how it works. And the sunshades are already in effect. I have a great understanding of astrophotography, clearly you don't.
Paul Scott
Paul Scott Mês atrás
@Ethan Roberts trying to work along side the astronomy community. Absolute rubbish. So far there are 1600 or so like you said and already they are disrupting scientific data. At the moment they leave a large light trail across a long exposure image. When these so called sun shades come into effect they will then leave a black streak across a long exposure image, both destroying scientific data. Not to mention the disruption to near earth objects and possible objects that might not be detected in the future. It is a terrible idea and driven by pure greed. When at least 12,000 of these satellites are up there it will be impossible to take an image without one of them ruining the data or image. If you had any understanding of astrophotography you would and should be alot more concerned.
Ethan Roberts
Ethan Roberts Mês atrás
@Paul Scott How can I prove myself wrong? Only the satellite trains have any impact on imagery and they usually take a few seconds to a few minutes to pass over and they're predicable. There are about 1600 Starlink satellites in orbit right now and only the past 5 or so launches would be visible (providing their orbits pass over the observer). I don't see it as selfish if they are actively trying to reduce the albedo of the satellites by testing various methods while working along side the astronomy community.
Paul Scott
Paul Scott Mês atrás
@Ethan Roberts astrophotographers and even nasa and esa have proven you wrong. They are showing up and completely ruining data. The problem is the greedy owner of space doesn't give a dam about the rest of the world and our right to study the universe. In his own words he said all telescopes need to be moved into space anyway. Who the hell does he think he is to decide that everyone on earth no longer gets to study the universe. I love space x but this is a disaster for the whole world. He is spitting in the face of early astronomers like galileo observing the night sky, which is the very thing that led nasa and space x to even exist.
Ethan Roberts
Ethan Roberts Mês atrás
@Paul Scott I know a thing or two about the brightness of Starlink. For an observer, they're (usually) only bright for a few weeks after launch during orbit raising. After that in their final orbits, they're not visible, even with a long exposure. I am an astrophotographer and have never had any problems with Starlink affecting images. Even when attempting to view and image predicted passes, I've struggled many times and only ever captured one bright pass.

Hey SpaceX where do I apply for a job in person? I am down here in South Padre.. where is your office here? Where can I meet with you somebody? I have ideas and I'm very learned... I know that you're shipping ethanol, or; if you're not, you should be shipping ethanol to Mars right now, for terraforming. And you can turn it into water again and sugar and fuel. You're going to want a lot of sugarcane. Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of sugarcane and lots and lots and lots. Once you do that you can inject algae into the soil and create an algae tree system. Once you do that you'll be breathing oxygenated atmosphere in 30 years all the way around Mars. Give me a job I want to work for you please please. Give me a job please I want to work for you I'm very smart. I am down here in South Padre and I need to tell you guys some things. And I can fix your backwards rig rocket. Please tell Elon, that I can fix the backwards rig rocket that keeps malfunctioning in the Atlantic Ocean.
Xanther Blaze
Xanther Blaze Mês atrás
If you face the bough of the rocket backwards in an angular way once you launch the rocket you can go in reverse and the atmosphere will pull the rocket off the planet with no more fuel required all you need to do is lift it off the ground and it'll get sucked off into the channel. Basically reverse the payload rocket structure and add the f45 subject to it. Then you just put it in reverse and you can go from the ground to the air in less than 60 seconds into the atmosphere and into outer space. You will use no fuel almost at all. What's 60 seconds of fuel on a F 45? It can't be nothing in comparison to what they're using now. It's the literal elevator guys. Please give me a job, and I deserve it, I studied very hard to learn these things.
Xanther Blaze
Xanther Blaze Mês atrás
On your way did you know that you can harvest iron oxide from the sunlight, and store it in tanks. You can mix it in with your ethanol it won't be a problem at all. Ooh then you can get the titanium from the sand on Mars and put it into the jello. I just told you another secret ... Give me a job please.
Xanther Blaze
Xanther Blaze Mês atrás
And then you can just scrape the jello off. The jello will never hurt your devices you can soak it all day long... Wow.. I just gave you a secret.... Hmmm...

Maybe you are the one to check again the possibilty of 4 about same size wings A380 at front set (much) higher with 2 from 4 engines blowing and swiveling over back winos that way smaller etc. for smaller airports then CNG 700+ bar (double dense from or LNG) added also inside for cost savings and more secure than kerosene. Addable outside turnable engines, TiB2 or TiC + vacuum chambers isolation + Ti alloy shell also cooled by CNG/O2 gas expansion for hypersonic and space flights to earth orbit hotel or mars & l TiB2 made melted and welded in very high pressure argon filled room with robots. Rocket engines don't use air oygene and N2 acceleration mass burning much outside of rocket cone but maybe boostable with tank O2 for vertical starts and only that in outer space etc.

Couple of things that were incorrect enough to deserve a mention: 21:42 "The stage uses nothing but the grid fins as it makes its return to Earth." Nitrogen jets can be seen, and are addressed immediately after. Indeed, any form of attitude control will effectively steer the falling cylinder. 22:58 "At this point, the vehicle is traveling around 900 miles per hour." The indicator shows ~5500kph or ~3400mph, nearly mach 4.5.

Exploration
Exploration Mês atrás
@David Lewis there is this annoying thing called latency, so what happens is if there is something in the way of the satellite it doesn’t work, so if there is a rocket in the way then it won’t work, most likely spaceX got buffering on the dronship camera for a few seconds so it was a few seconds behind, and the reason it cut out is one that I already explained. Does that awnser your question or are we still having a misunderstanding.
David Lewis
David Lewis Mês atrás
@Exploration I certainly miss this respectfully, I’m not sure if there’s an understanding of what I’m trying to say. The rocket on the left side has already landed on the pad… The right camera is still rolling with no rocket on the pad. You can even see the ocean waves in the background. If these two camera shots are simultaneously in real time, someone forgot to edit the rocket in.
Exploration

@HammerPT Please notice that: - most of those starving peoples are located in war zones. Before any humanitarian aid can be dispatched, You need to send there armed forces. Other ways: all those help will be grabbed by local warlords and sold on black markets. - humanitarian aid programs both from individual countries and from ONZ do have much larger budgets than NASA, or any other space agency/company - once again: please look at my comment about India. Access to internet simply created dozens of millions jobs there. Those peoples didn't need further humanitarian aid - they could improve they living conditions and take care of them selfs, when they started earning decent moneys. - same as above can be applied to regions/countries like Nepal, Mongolia, Philippines, central Africa and Latin America. Where conventional network connections are either impossible or would take decades to being build. About evil companies and 'good' governments. As I have mentioned I was born and I'm living in post comunist country. In capitalism You do have many companies rivaling each other. They watch each other hands and expose each other wrongdoings. In socialism You have one company: government. Which makes the same bad stuff as companies in capitalism, but it also controls all media, law enforcement and military. It is like most evil company imaginable, without any controll. Trust me - I have lived in both of those system. Capitalism does sucks a loot, but alternatives (socialism, feudalism) are worse. Much worse.

HammerPT Mês atrás
@Exploration Before thinking about providing the internet to the entire world population, a service that is not essential, we should already start by providing food, medicine and education to nearly a billion people who live on less than a dollar a day! 2.8 billion people, nearly half of the world's population, live on less than $ 2 a day! 448 million children who are underweight. Every day, 30,000 children under the age of five die from preventable diseases! More than a billion people do not have access to safe water. So you can call me egoist, but in fact the egoist it is you who only thinks of your little luxury and your internet connection! I have traveled a lot and seen the misery of this world ... I have seen enough to know where the problem is ... to listen to you, internet and all the money spent to put in service starlink will solve all the problems basics of this world! once again, starlink is just a project of a megalomaniac, which will above all benefit the rich!
Exploration
Exploration Mês atrás
@HammerPT in the US alone 15 million people don’t have internet, you are just showing that you are selfish and don’t care about others needs. And that thing you said about it being for the rich, Bull-sh1t. The people who live out in the country, especially Ireland where I come from, has very bad internet for rural areas, they charge over €100 for 15 mbs and a data cap of 40gb. At least that is what I used to have, but people around me are getting 5 mbs for the same price as ours. This would be so beneficial to so many people, including me. So before you complain net time know that there is other people in the world mat.

@HammerPT ".. who will exploit cheap labor from underdeveloped countries" dude, please. I have several friends in India. They work now in IT departments. On average they salary is between 1500-2000$. It my looks small: but the alternatives in India were total crap jobs for 200-300$ (per month!). " We are already connected here on earth and starlink is just a waste of resources!" -> can I ask You where are You living? I'm from one of post-soviet countries. And I do know situations in countries like Mongolia, Romania, Tropical Africa regions. 50Kb/s with data cap at 2GB and 40$ price is quite fast offer in those regions. And if You think that this is minority: You have over 4 billions peoples living in such regions.
HammerPT
HammerPT Mês atrás
@Wojtek Sykurski again as you said, this will benefit the rich, the companies ... who will exploit cheap labor from underdeveloped countries! We always come back to the same point ... a maximum of profits and profits for companies already very rich! We can discuss for hours, everyone will keep these positions and opinions on the merits of Spacex and Starlink. One thing is for sure, as much as I am a positive person who believes that the future of humanity is in space, I believe that here on earth we are going straight into the wall! Humanity must dream, it always has, but in an environment we do not understand and with limited resources we must first be realistic. We are already connected here on earth and starlink is just a waste of resources! As for the link on Chinese pollution, it is pure hypocrisy ... China certainly pollutes, but it also pollutes because the Western American and European companies in the lead relocate their production down there for maximum profits! China pollutes, it is a fact, but here is another, the Western countries, USA, Europe, AUSTRALIA and so on, they lie to their citizens by making them believe that they pollute less, whereas in in fact they just de-localize their pollution in poor countries and the next target will be India. We live in a manipulative, hypocritical society cradled by dreams of megalomaniacs totally disconnected from reality. It's a shame!

@Ethan Roberts We all tried taking photos of it when we saw it, but our phones couldn't quite do the job. I've seen them all lined perfectly lined up before, but this was a jumbled mess of spots in the night sky. There was really no order to it at all, it kind of looked like a flock of birds if that makes any sense. we stopped the car and watched as it made its way all the way across the sky. It definitely wasn't a uniform line, but they stayed in perfect unison for the entire duration that we watched. my first thought when looking at it was that something went foul and the satellites were released in some funky way that made them not line up properly.

These satilites are moving around the planet at 27,000 km per hour, but they are so low in orbit that they experience minimal drag from the atmosphere. So if there is a problem with the satellite it will de-orbit after a couple of years. And Starlink satilites are the only ones is this low of an orbit and they are built in with ion-engines for debris avoidance. And the second stage does a de-orbit burn when it is done and burned up in the atmosphere. So explain how any of this is pollution. It’s a globeal internet service that could help so many people.

There is still enough atmospheric drag at this altitude to bring it down. It will burn in atmosphere in several days.
