It’s only the Spurs but Rui contested shots that would have normally been scored on us like when he was alone to defend two players on the perimeter and they couldn’t score over him. His size and strength is already being proven to be crucial. When he got bumped it didn’t affect him at all.
I think now that everyone has a good flow this team seems scarier every game. Like we got lowkey depth. When everyone healthy. Lebron has carried a team with less potential
Y'all follow the media narrative too much. These media people are fooling y'all because they're in cahoots with the NBA. The NBA knows Lakers are not making the playoffs. The NBA knows in all probability AD will get hurt again. This Hui kid was never on y'all radars at all. Now all of a sudden he's a hot topic. BECAUSE THE MEDIA TOLD Y'ALL WHAT TO THINK. Dude is an average good player. Role players. He's not a superstar, all-star, or star. How is a role player gonna turn the Lakers season around??? The NBA knows this, but in order for y'all to keep giving ratings to Lakers & LeBron, they know they have to drum up this fake hope to keep y'all watching. AD will eat up time from Wenyan & Bryant. He won't hustle like they do and that's what kept Lakers afloat. Hustle by Wenyan and Bryant and Shroeder and Beverley. As soon as they have to play Denver or Memphis or Milwaukee or Sixers or anyone with a stretch 5 big man that AD has to leave the paint for, they're cooked. They look great against mediocre teams. They look like a play-in team when playing the best.
Why won’t they play ad and Bryant at the same time. They both big men who get boards and buckets at the rim and can shoot as well. To me it’s a no brainer
Lebron didnt need to score 30+ for lakers to win, AD is back, Rui great addition, and Russ should be going more aggresive to the paint like how he did in the 4th, he did a good job sealing the game. If lakers can up their team chemistry, they can be legitimate playoff contenders.
@forest king yup looked real good against actual good teams in Brooklyn and Boston. Oh and Brooklyn didn't even have Durant playing 😂. Enjoy the bottom of the standings Laker fan.
@OneOfA Kind found the Lebron Stan! Haha how's that 12 now 13th seed looking? Think Pelinka gonna make you another "blockbuster"trade to get you in the playoffs?!!! 😂
Just by watching a little of this highlight video, Hachimura looks like a good addition to the Lake show, and seeing AD back, hope he can stay healthy, he'll take scoring pressure off of Lebron, Beverly played better last night too, Greg Popovich, one of the best coaches ever, classy, he may not be winning as many games as when he had Tim Duncan & Co. Running the floor, but think he tries to get the most out of who ever is on his roster.
People don't know how good and legit the Lakers are. This guy (Rui) makes them even better. The reason Lakers were losing close games and LeBron needing to drop 30+ points is because Lonnie Walker is out, and Austin Reaves, and AD. Even with Lonnie Walker and Austin Reaves, Lakers were winning those close games. The last 35 games, Lakers are 20-15. They started out the season on the wrong foot (2-10 start). And they are not far behind playoffs teams despite all the close games loses. When this team is healthy, this Lakers team can make run
I never considered that a great part about Westbrook coming off the bench could be his value as a rested dagger scorer late in the 4th. He just sealed the game blowing by folks back to back. And then if the Lakers needed it, Lebron was gaining rest by letting Westbrook score. It's such a great setup if they can learn how to fully tap into it.
And don't forget they have officially unleashed Thomas Bryant and THATS big because now AD can get more rest and the more he's at full health, the more effective AD is. This team is different
Rui is a nice fit.The youngster Christy is fearless also. He is getting more and more confident each game.I really like his B ball IQ, I see why we picked him first. Je is low key a solid defender and looks like he has the trust of his teammates
@idoubtit yeah honestly Bryant has come into his own and brought an energy to the team that AD didn’t, but you need AD for the playoffs. Bryant’s best game of his career was 31 and 14, AD averages 27 and 12 and can change a game defensively, so I think they just need to figure out how to play with the same intensity and energy with AD doing his thing. But yeah, I don’t see a young team like the grizzlies having a chance in a series against LA. They have no one to stop either Lebron or AD. And shroeder, Beverly, Lonnie are good enough defenders to make it tough on Ja
@Donaven Murray I would of left him out. .shit we ain got no worse without him ...we started off ad and loss how many games.. TB stepped up and played big man basketball and ain showed no signs of stopping and I don't think it was cool to break his rhythm...shit like that make a nigga say fuck AD...only thing is I did see AD getting hype when tb made plays which let me know them niggas is communicating on and off the floor so hopefully like you said...with good health these Lakers won't be stopped come play off time and I hope we see the grizzlies...
@idoubtit yeah you can tell he’s hungry. He’s playing with passion and energy I haven’t seen from him in awhile. I think it really comes down to health, but if lakers are in playoffs, I don’t see any teams that could really compete with that two man tandem of AD and Lebron over a 7 game series. Playoffs are a diff animal and these guys are unstoppable. Brown and Tatum don’t compare, Giannis and Middleton don’t compare, Steph and Klay don’t compare. It will be tough
@Donaven Murray if the Lakers had a winning season..the MVP would go straight to LeBron... and like you said if the Lakers get healthy I'm looking for Lebron to prove a point...Steph got his 4 ring last year..LeBron won't 5 this year

@JoeBidens_TouchyHands smart huh lol that's a interesting way to look at it but I'm not here to get in the way of your affirmations but if I may can I suggest you watch a couple of Jordan Kleeper videos and you do not have to report back here this assignment is rhetorical in nature but after the consumption of said content if you still would like to align yourself with that cult I'm sorry I mean Trumpians
Lakers absolutely earned and deserved that win , and Anthony Davis we missed ya man , been a long time since he’s been on the court and he was just killing it before that injury
@Yaboiyikes , just tell us you don’t like Lebron and/or the Lakers. Could’ve saved a lot of typing.. Btw, they swept SA this year (4-0). Didn’t know you had to win by a certain amount for it to be considered a legitimate win..smh..

@Yaya2Breezy basketball is a team sport he can go for 60 and still get outplayed by the other team id rather bron go for 20 and his team play better than him having to score everything and still lose
@alwaysLearningsumn he talks how Pop tried to break Stephen Jackson, Kuwai and him, like why??? All these players that hug and kiss Pop never played for him.

@K W Okay. Point taken. But if you read the different comments on various platforms, there's people that believe the Lakers will miraculously become a real title contender. Not making this up. But I digress.
@JoeBidens_TouchyHands Not even a Lakers fan so you don’t need to convince me about Lebrons need for help. I was just shutting down your take that Rui was supposed to save their season. Ain’t nobody said anything like that but you… Rui is a good pickup for the Lakers as a team and organization, Lebron aside
@K W LeBron-teams always "need someone" else. Never fails. Year after year. LeBron-Lakers had Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Zubac, Rajon Rondo, Lonzo Ball, Lance Stephenson, Javale McGee, Josh Hart, KCP, Reggie Bullock, Michael Beasley, Alex Caruso AND DIDN'T NAKE IT WORK WITH A TEAM FULL OF SHOOTERS, PLAYMAKERS, DEFENSE, RIM PROTECTORS. AND PEOPLE MADE EXCUSES SAYING HE NEED MORE HELP. LeBron-Cavs had D.Wade, Iman Shumpert, D.Rose, Kevin Love, Isaiah Thomas, Jeff Green, Tristan Thompson, JR Smith, Richard Jefferson, Jay Crowder, Kyle Korver. ANOTHER TEAM OF DEFENSE, HUSTLE, REBOUNDS, PLAY MAKING. EVERYONE SAID HE NEEDED MORE HELP SO THEY TRADED FOR JORDAN CLARKSON, LARRY NANCE JR, GEORGE HILL, RODNEY HOOD. AND PEOPLE STILL MADE EXCUSES SAYING HE NEED MORE HELP. Every team he's on the media will write the narrative of how the answer is outside of their team. LeBron needs everyone except the players on his team. That's the cold truth.
@JoeBidens_TouchyHands I don’t think I’ve heard a single “narrative” about Rui turning the season around…. He is a great young, developing player that fit the PF position and role that they needed. Considering the lakers have been drafting nothing but old vets and shitty contracts lately, I think it was an excellent pickup.. maybe the best since Lebron himself

@SoPrecise I knew some macho man would say giggling was gay, but it's literally the most accurate word to describe the moment. Can't do nothing. *George Lopez voice*
As a resident of northern VA, I was sad to see hachimura go (although those picks are definitely nice)...but as a lakers fan, it's so cool to see him on this team.
Man, just wait until Lonnie and Reaves get back healthy. They have the potential to be a dangerous sleeper team. Also, Rui did pretty good in his debut, highest +/- on the team and got 13 points and 6 rebs in 21 minutes off-the-bench. A great addition to the team
@James Kelly omg what injuries? the lakers were losing even when they were healthy they were in the exact same position they are in now they actually won more without AD every year lakers are trash and every year y’all swear they doing somthing
Lakers had a rusty start tonight and the Spurs were really bringing it playing hard however Lakers weathered the storm early and won the game, not bad considering it’s been like 3 games in 4 days, and they got a new player plus AD was back tonight so yes it was a little bit of an adjustment But after Rui hit that 3 that’s when the lakers said okay let’s go and they took over the game after that !
As a Lakers and Cavaliers fan thank you Lakers for getting this victory!! What a way to do it the night before the sad 3 year anniversary of Kobe Bryant!! That helps support Kobe Bryant when the Lakers win!! I’m a Lakers fan because I like Lebron James and a Cleveland Cavaliers fan because my dad’s from Cleveland!!
Those hugs at the end with pop it's legendary!! And the best part is I was able to witness it..3 future hall of famers 20 years from now I'm going to look at this and say oh my God I witnessed that 😱

@Judy green lebron is shooting 29 percent from three this season. That not good compare to a great shooter like curry. Even Patrick shooting is better than lebron.
@Donte Barba most role players are inconsistent? We’re looking at ceiling and fit. Nun was just as inconsistent but we were scant in heavy bigs without ad
With AD and Hachi the Lakers seem like a totally different team, and with Bryant manning the paint the Lakers have a rim protector throughout. Lebron's points are mostly on the fastbreak, which means the Lakeshow is looking to run, run, run.
Lakers chemistry and confidence looks so much better after having to figure it out without AD and others. Definitely still have a chance to get in the playoffs but hopefully not too late
With AD coming back and the addition of Rui we’re gonna be tough to beat. We were already starting to play good basketball before those 2 came into the lineup. Watch out for us!
Bro we low key got a squad coming together now, this was a good win, everyone was engaged on defense, everyone was doing their thing and playing their roles, we keep this up we could be a 6th seed by the end of the season
And they WANT to play with Bron. Thomas is a damn work horse. He runs the floor like no other big man I've seen in today's game. That makes him an easy target for a LeBron pass or anyone's pass.
Good win for the Lakers. Hachimura is a smart, fundamentally sound player that the Lakers need. Seems like the rest of the team was playing smarter more fundamental ball with this guy in the fold.
It was great seeing ad playing again they clearly limited his minutes tonight so far for the first game rui looked good made some baskets played some good defense so far so good we still have too many guards in my opinion though
I like the fact that coach didn’t start AD. Bryant has been holding the fort down and gaining more confidence. AD should be starting soon but I hope the lakers keep Bryant in a nice rotation. Bryant is big, he defends well and he has one hell of a motor.
This was a great game for the lake show first game together since AD injury/Riu trade and they looked like a team 5 players in double figures and I saw some chemistry. Riu is a good fit now Lonnie Skywalker and AR15 comeback this lakers team is scary. Nobody can put a better duo on the floor than the lakers this is a scary team in the playoffs
Laker Fan In The House:"Nice Job Lakers Best Believe I Sure Did Have Me Some Good Ole Tacos For A Midnight Snack After Work From Jack In The Box, Hey Spurs Yall Really Played A Good Game Plus Yall Still Have An Amazing Awesome Coach So Continue To Keep Yall Heads Up At All Times Much Love and Respect."
AD back, now it's time 4 us to turn up for the 2nd half of the season and make this playoff run, majority of our games we lost were lost by only a few points, imagine if we had AD, I feel like if we had AD all season long our record would be a lot better, we prolly would be the 4th or 5th seed 💯💯
This is what LeBum's stupid LeShannonSharpe wannabes are saying. - Wait for AD to return. Really! What happened? Barely beat the G league Spurs - After the Hachimura trade. The Fakers will be title contenders. Where? They are always in the 13th seed - LeVaginaface even 38 years still dominating. Maybe still dominating in statpadding, bricking and then walking out
Sad watching this year thinking how happy Kobe would be to see LB playing this good at this age. Probably wouldn’t be too happy about the LakeShow record but the work every year to stay in shape Kobe would’ve loved to see this from the king. Because without that injury Kobe would’ve played as long as Bron or longer to break Mj and Kareem records.
