What an absolutely stunning house, and such a great tour as she talked about everything in the house -- why she bought it, what she uses it for, what it hides etc. Really really enjoyed this. Thanks, Jody!! And good luck with living in the house. I'm sure you will be there for many years. You couldn't ask for anything prettier or nicer :)
I love the colours and overall style of the decor, and finally, a bedroom that is bigger than a coffin. Most bedrooms in tiny houses are terribly claustrophobic. Here I see she sacrificed the ceiling height downstairs so she can have more space upstairs which is great. She's got plenty of space for a tiny house and a normal sofa. There are sofa beds with storage underneath which are still comfy, but many tiny house owners build benches that don't really look comfy or big enough for proper relaxing.
This is my favourite tiny house so far. It looks SO spacious, and the layout is so inviting. I would keep the microwave and add a small dishwasher to the kitchen, I love the idea of the drop-down add-on for the countertop. But I love everything else about this place, Jody included. I love her whole vibe.
I love the configuration of this Tiny House. It looks spacious and the height of the lofts are not claustrophobic. I can't wait to see what you will do with the outside area and the changes you have planned for the inside. Thankyou for showing us your lovely home.
this is just wow amazing!! i have been binge watching tiny houses for 2 mths and i have to say this is the most welcoming , aesthetically pleasing , functional house i have ever been. LOVE LOVE the collapsible hook above the w machine , the colour scheme ( who knew black ceilling actually doesnt take that much height from the ceiling ). reading thecomments, i believe everyone here would love to see a video on your studio and also video on yourTiny after u have completed all your projects inside. we r just dying to see!!!
Congratulations on your new House! I really like this house and the amount of work and good taste put in it. Tiny can come in many versions. It doesn't need to be DIY at any cost, especially if you have no building skill. I think that the owner is lovely and is able to make her own decision. Sometimes you need to put other people's opinions apart and go for what you really need for your happiness and of course, what you can afford according to your finances. If you still need to pay workers, even a DIY can become very expensive before it's finished.
I absolutely LOVE the colors you've 'splashed' your tiny house with. Looking for ward to 'touring' your studio once you get it up and 'running.' Thanks for sharing, Jody. HAPPY NEW YEAR. :-D
I had to move my daughter home as she was diagnosed with MS and needs lots of support. I created a self contained unit in my loft for her. One suggestion my builder made which has worked brilliantly is cutting boards that fit directly into the sink and over the hob, increasing counter spice. They slide sideways when the sink/hub are being used and cost very little to make.
I love this tiny "home"....and especially the painting going up the stair case. Also, love all the colors...good job. Lets see more as you progress with other areas.
I love Tiny Homes that keep the owner's personality in the design. Simply beautiful! I would love to see an update video once all the projects are done 💘
I like the thought of not shopping retail at all. I try to buy used when I can. Gorgeous tiny home! I love my tiny home on wheels so I can change my view whenever I want.
I know you've already heard this, but your home (tiny house) is THE most beautiful I've ever seen, Jody. Your colour choice lends itself to the clean lines of the place. I'd LOVE to see it all when you've truly finished making it your own. If I had one ounce of decorating talent, I'd be a happy camper!! But I guess I'm not really ready to purge just yet.
Love it! I am in the process myself from a 2800+ sq.ft. To my current apartment 480 sq.ft. To a form of a tiny home 2 years of saving and downsizing. I love the bright and colorful space!
Oh My God, just seeing this. Would love to see the updates since this is from 2018. Love the element of surprise. The dark wood exterior is nice, but when you walk through those doors and you are welcome by all of that burst of color and clean angles, light and brightness, it's just joy. It automatically puts you in a great, happy mood. Love it! Please show us her updates.
I love the classic telephones in all the primary colors, Wow , such a cute home ! Your aesthetics for design are very much like mine, thank you for sharing ;)
Hands down one of my favs🙌🏻 A lot of tinys have started to just look like slightly varied versions of each other.. this is a real breath of fresh air 😌
This is the nicest tiny house I have ever seen. I adore it! You have put so much of your artistic personality into it. I love everything about it and could happily move in and live there myself. So excited to see how you design the outside and I love your ideas of re-using your old bed frame. I have serious house envy. ♡
I love the colorful appearance of your tiny home. I also love the natural light and the fact that you used actual furniture. Great and modern tiny home.
This is a pretty amazing Tiny House. I would probably choose just one loft, and have high ceilings in the living room. The use of color was really outstanding. I love it. Years ago, I did give most of my books to a nursing home. I had read them, and keeping them dust free became too much of a chore. But I love the bookcase. This design seems really functional. I would love to watch an old movie on a rainy day with all those windows.
This is a beautiful tiny house. I am also artistic and love the touches that you have kept and understand why you kept them. I love the colour going up the stairs, I love the lights, the treehouse, everything. It is just gorgeous. Yes with the flip up on the end of the counters and on the end of your table there you probably will not need counter space and I would not do an L shape counter in there. I would LOVE to see an update.
Love her paint work. The countertop, sink and TV table are fine. Everything looks good. The sofa, the baskets, the fabrics... the art... The "floor lamp." Yeah, the microwave has got to go.
Use black pipe for your safety rail. Extra floor padding under your tree house rug can double as sleeping space. Use a storage bench or cedar chest with casters as a kitty litter box that can double as seating at your flip down table. Just cut a pet size hole for cat to access...the lid lifts for easy cleaning. I love, love, love your tiny, well appointed home!
Oh wow, this is the perfect Tiny House! Very rarely do I like everything but I love the layout, design, colours, everything! Love how the bathroom is spacious with window, cabinets and nice benchtop space and even a washing machine! Everything is well thought out and looks spacious for a Tiny House. All it's missing is a rooftop terrace ;)
This is IT....the perfect tiny house. AMAZING decor, blue and teal my faves. Color everywhere, yes. Minimum kitchen, I don't cook much either, she made the kitchen look as another art space too. Big couch, yes. Love the canopy bed railing, looks like an outside sculpture. LOVE it all. The contrast of the wood outside and modern inside is awesome. I re-use cans and jars like her. THEN she hit me with a shipping container studio/storage.... yesss. I'm artsist too. Her spaces are just awesome, looks like she will be happy. Well done lady. I'm gona see if she has update pics, tho I think is perfect as it is.
I absolutely love your home!! The layout is perfect for us!!!! You really did amazing work/choices. I Wish you lived local!! I want your floor plan! Hands down, your Tiny house is thee cozy & inviting EVER! 😊 ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Your tiny house is the best! I love the colors and your style. You have inspired me! Thank you! I can't wait to see what you plan to do next with your tiny home!
WOW! I watch a lot of videos about tiny living, love, love, love your home. Your sense of color is amazing. I'm wondering what did you use to make the curtain in the bathroom? The colors and texture are amazing. Also itching to see the inside of your Art Studio.
I have been watching a lot of tiny house videos and this one is by far the most beautiful tiny house that I have seen. Love her style... I would move right in...
Jody, thank you so much for sharing your lovely and seriously gorgeous new tiny home!!.. I love the spacing and how it makes one feel so comfortable. .. Doesn't have that tiny home look or feel. Continue to enjoy and have a wonderful time decorating and making it just the way you want it to be!!.. God Bless You, Carolyn (:
What a beautiful home. I love it, love the different colours and the room looks so spacious, love that sofa, usually you see bench like storage seats and that looks comfy.
I absolutely love your Tiny House. You should use the loft as a bean bag tv room. You could use the storage cubes to keep all camera equipment in one place as well as your cycling equipment.
What a beautiful home you have Jody. The openness, the colours, everything. I just love it. Your three phones are amazing. This is the best tiny house I have ever seen. And you are so full of life. It was so fun to watch and enjoy your personality. I, as others have said, hope to see more of what you do.
Beautiful home. Spot on with the color you painted your kitchen cupboards. Please make another video a year from now. Would love to see all your updates. Happy New Year!! ☆♡☆♡
Wonderful! Your energy is so positive! I enjoyed the tour of your home! Good Luck 🍀 with your projects! I live in a tiny house 🏠 567 sqft. I came from a big home, so I totally agree that it is a process. I love living my simplified life! I could relate to your insight into the process. Thanks and Blessings to You!❤️😇☮️
What a strikingly beautiful tiny home! Love the colors, the dark ceilings, all the windows, totally gorgeous! And the fact that you don't have to crawl around in the loft.
LOVE THAT COMFY COUCH!!! It makes it look like a real home instead of an RV. Consider transforming the current couch to include storage under the cushions. 😁
I love your tiny home. I especially like the blue cabinets and the multi colored stair steps. I could definitely see myself living in a house like this as retirement looms. Gorgeous!
Love your tiny house! Another great storage idea if it can still be done- put hinges on the steps going to your room and use each step as a storage box, perhaps for all your shoes..lol..
I think this is for me! I’m considering this type of living. You have a charming, lovely home. I love the overall gray and adding color makes it homey. Can these homes be placed anywhere? Do you have to own your own land? I even love your “outdoor living space” idea. I’d love to see your home once it’s done - will there be a follow-up vid?
It's beautiful! So fun to hear Jody's take on living tiny and downsizing. LOVE the cabinet color and would never have considered the dark ceiling. Great point about if you don't remember you have it, you probably don't need it! Nice that you mentioned Joshua on Radical Personal Finance ... His podcast is amazing!
Just bumble onto this video and I'm so happy I did! I've been fascinated by the tiny house movement for numerous reasons. This might be the very first one I could actually see us enjoying here in Canada, or wherever fortune takes us. What I can't seem to locate is this incidental little nugget of information: who built this gem?Jody mentions it coming from Wisconsin. I really need to know!!
This is my favorite tiny house so far. I could definitely live there. I agree about the microwave. I just moved and don't have one anymore and don't miss it. Great job! Your home looks super cosy and inviting.
Thank you Jody for sharing --having practiced making do with what I have & slowing decreasing for 20 some years, I am glad for the internet showing so many other people embracing "less is more." Excellent presentation! I enjoyed all aspects--the technical and the aesthetics.
What a gorgeous home! Love your aesthetic--eclectic and funky. I wouldn't change much either. Love the colors and your life philosophy. Definitely a great example of how the TH philosophy can be customized for each person. Thanks for this tour, Jody and THT!
Love the specific mention of the handmade rugs. That’s one of my big issues with tiny homes or, recently, bus conversions. I have tons of rugs, books and art and would’t want to exist in a space that didn’t allow for them (even if I have to rotate them in and out of storage). Haven’t seen any of these yet where the people showed that they valued any specific possessions, which always feels odd.
I absolutely love what you've done so far, and am hopeful that you will share your progress as you go. Amazing colors and all of your pieces are meaningful and visually interesting. I love your style, thank you so much for sharing with us! I can't wait to see your art studio! You INSPIRE me!
Love the colorful stairs. I'll have to remember them when I eventually get my tiny house. They will also be storage steps. No ladders for this old gal.
I love what you do with your energy. This reflects so much more than Tiny House living. You share mindful living concepts in a lovely artistic way. Thank you!
Hello! Ive watched this video a million times. Definitely one of my favorite Tiny Home Tours because it looks very similar to my dream tiny home! My only question is how large this tiny home is??? Length, width and height to be specific?
