@Carlos Ahumada Yeah, I'm SO bummed about that also..... He IS our "Mr. 3rd down" I hope he just had a bad game and recovers to what we all know he is.
@D W how are the broncos getting better when they lost to the raiders with drew and this year they lost again to the raiders and now broncos are 2-4 and I wouldn’t be surprised if they lose to the jets
That deep ball to Lockett was beautiful, he did that knowing he was gonna eat that hit, I think I speak for every Seahawks fan saying geno earned my respect already this season
Just give him time...he will let you down just like the lions do to their fans every single year...sure he looked good against some crappy defenses, but I would bet that he won't keep playing like this after week 6 or 7
Geno's been quarterbacking like a boss this game. Totally in command of the offense. Liked how he hustled his offense to the line after DK's 51 yds catch to the Lions' 2, and how he handled the Lions' blitz before Penny's 1st TD run. I expected Geno to be a solid game manager, who'd fall apart under pressure, but, man, he has been astonishingly good.
@Ercihan Ateş go learn how to play football. This isn't madden bruh. It was a complete pass for first down inside the 20 setting hawks up to score. Go play with your mom and leave the analyzing for someone else.
@Ercihan Ateş I'm not the op that said insane throw but it was definitely a clutch play by someone willing to put themselves in harms way to deliver a ball to keep momentum and possession. You obviously never played football. Keep hating nfl players from your yt account.
I'm a little surprised you didn't show the Lions' 2-point conversion on that TD in the 3rd quarter. Not showing 1-pointers is understandable ... but 2-point attempts (whether successful or not) are usually turning points of a game.
What a game, so much to see to just resume in few words. Despite their best wr weapons were out, the lions put a tough battle and they were a little bit too undisciplined to get a well needed win. But i can't be hard with them, they got the vibe, they got the desire, I'm sure they will learn a lot this year again. Wait for them in the next years :)
The fact my lions scored 45 points and still lost is the most lions thing to me. Despite not having 3 starters due to injury is still crazy to me! We need to spent our cap space or pick some players up to improve our defense next year. I love the offense but the defense needs to step it up like come on you can’t be giving up 48 points to geno no offense to geno he seems to be doing better than Wilson this year but I just want my team to do good! Defense wins championships and that something we need to work on!! Regardless GGs to the Seahawks it was a close game!
I know I’m biased because i actually saw this man up close every day in HS but nothing he’s doing is surprising. Looks just like he did back then, in total command of the offense.
Lions are an up and coming team. I’m very impressed by their offense this year. If there defense can get better they can can be a force in their division
This was beyond unexpected! A deadly shootout between two teams who we thought wouldn't even reach 20 points each! Run games from both teams was deadly, both QB'S played absolutely amazing, why the hell couldn't this have been saved for the NFC Championship Game?!?! Great win Seahawks 👍
The lions lost but they have a good team and coaching staff this year. I think their defense it’s gonna get better and they’ll win more games the rest of the season.
Geno was 23-30 for 320 yards 2 TD's with 7 carries for 49 yards 1 TD. DK 7 catches for 149 yards. Lockett 6 catches for 91 yards. Dissly & Fant each had a TD. Penny had 17 carries for 151 yards 2 TD's. Woolen had a pick 6 & Nwosu had our lone sack. Messy but I'll take the W. NEXT: SEA @ N.O. Sunday 10/9 #GoSeahawks
The Lions could end the season with the highest scoring offense, and the worst defense. Classic Lions Football. At this point coming up with so many ways to lose for so long has become admirable. You have to appreciate their consistency, creativity, and determination to lose! 👏🏾
Epic Offensive Output by both Teams! Very Fun to Watch! Lions make it interesting every game & usually it doesn't matter who they're playing. Tough loss but great for Geno & The Hawks. Game was indicative of growth of QB I observed initially. It's his team now so he has a great opportunity to assert his self as A Factor for a Team that's traditionally been a factor in the Hawks. Huge motivation for Geno Smith/Responsibility. I personally think he's ready but it takes doing it every week.
Good game to our Division rivals, the Lions! 👍 Seahawks barely squeaked out with a win there, definitely flew away from Detroit with a few missing feathers. Congratulations to a performance by a former Packer Williams 👍 From a Green Bay Packers fan
@Moris Mihovilovic “It’s the first time in franchise history since 2012 that a player has thrown 340+ yards in his 4th game of the season on a Sunday during an away game and having eaten fruit loops for breakfast!”
I love how Geno Smith played on this game keep calm and score! Defense need to watch the game for improvement. I aint trippin much lots of rookies here so still good game though.
@Ramon Gonzalez yep. The Lions D definitely needs some work. They have a really good corner from what I understand but yeah....only 10 other spots to work on. 😃
This game makes me want to follow the Lions the rest of the year. They're an Arena League team. Its not improbable that they score *and give up* 500 points in the same season.
As an LA native who rooted for the Lions for 10 years while LA had no teams, I can confirm that this is just a classic Lions game, an utter heartbreaker. I am now primarily a Rams fan, finally making the migration official with Stafford's trade here, which was a football miracle for me. I'm glad the Lions aren't my primary team anymore, because this game would have bothered the heck out of me.
congratulations to geno smith for fighting through adversity, earning a look at starting qb, and showing what he can do. truly an inspiration to see him succeed.
That 3rd qtr interception by Woolen was an OMG moment. 😲 (His 2nd pick this season already.) He oozes talent. If he keeps developing, he has a chance to be better than Sherman.
Over the first 4 game’s Tariq “The Freak” Woolen has better numbers than the #4 overall pick Sauce Gardener! I think if he continues to learn more about the CB position and play like he has, he’ll be a pro bowler next year! Maybe even All-Pro? I think after next year’s draft (I’m praying that the Bronco’s finish with a losing record 🙏) We’ll be able to fill more hole’s, get younger and hopefully we nail it on our Franchise QB‼️ If Seattle can strike gold with the QB pick, we should be a wildcard playoff team or better! #LFG #12’s
This was like watching George Foreman and Ron Lyle knocking each other from pillar to.post landing haymaker after haymaker after haymaker in that classic 5 round Pier 6 brawl. Fun to watch!
After the departure of Russell Wilson and Bobby Wagner I thought the Seahawks were done. But they actually look like a quite competitive group of guys.
@Patrick BASEDman - Memes & Finance You do realize the Lions have allowed the most points in the NFL to opposing teams through 4 games this season right? Geno had 197 yds, no touchdowns and an interception against the 49ers who allow the fewest points per game, AKA a good defense.
@corey oden also first time since 2014 that he was given a start from the start of the season. Guy’s been a career backup without getting a legit chance
I'm happy for Geno. Ever since what happened to Him in NY. It's nice to see Him doing well in Seattle. Jared Goff has not been the same QB since Todd Gurley went down and He lost Him via trade. But it's nice see Goff doing well in Detroit. The organization has a great team that they can build with and start building around Him.
The thing KINFOLK is you beat the Seahawks during week four SO IF IT CAME DOWN TO TIE BREAKER between Lions & Seahawks you were in. But it came down to division record; and I’m NEUTRAL so I know Seattle was HUMBLED even though they will NEVER SAY IT. 🤛🏽🙏🤲🏽
Geno Smith giving Tavaris Jackson kind of vibes for the 2011 Seahawks. But that 2011 Seahawks team was in a way better position with their defense. Go Bucs
This young Seattle defense knows how to play hard and force turnovers but there are still growing pains. Need to stay locked in for the full game not just the first halt
@Mr. Blonde i meant his completion %. He was at 50 last year. Hes 27-40 418 yds and 2 td so far this year on 3rd down. And last year a lot of that had to do with having no running game whatsoever a lot of those third Downs were third and eight third and 10 3rd and 14 instead of guys like Josh Allen was third and two third and three.
@Mr. Blonde that has a lot to do with distance. Hes had no running game the last 2 years. This year, hes at 71.4% on 3rd. Just a tad higher than attempting a 64yd fg. At sea level.
@Buck Futtler go ahead and check Russell Wilson's 3rd down conversion rate over the last two years, let alone in that game. The odds may have been better, but it definitely wasn't a given.
