⁠@@jeffreydallas6047 the case was dismissed, not his charges. he wasn’t acquitted, his charges were not dropped, the case against him was dismissed. cases are dismissed from lack of evidence all the time. that doesn’t prove innocence. proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt is VERY difficult and thousands of criminals are let off everyday because of it. also, a dropped/dismissed lawsuit case mainly happens when it is settled outside of court. meaning he likely paid the plaintiff off to try to push everything under the rug. acquittal ≠ innocence. charges dropped ≠ innocence. case dismissed ≠ innocence. insufficient evidence ≠ innocence. this is basic common sense.

Morty sounds younger. The thing with the voice actor(s) is that when the characters speak with regular calmness they are almost indistinguishable from what were familiar with, but let them be overwhelmed by emotion and they're audibly odd.

Now see I don't think Roiland actually DEVELOPED the voice. Morty is just a higher-pitched version of his own voice. I think he just stopped putting the effort in. We do know that they had to pester him to recordings and he was often late with them.

Morty sounds like someone trying to speak in a higher pitch than what they're used to. It was probably the same with Justin in the beginning until his voice "settled" where there's more range within that pitch. It's wild seeing some people instantly stop caring about Roiland's behavior when the only thing that happened was the court case was dropped. Yeah, that means those allegations won't move forward. There's still real texts of Roiland "joking" to a minor that she should run from her parents and become a sex slave, and calling her "jailbait" which for those who don't know is slang for an underage girl that creeps want to get with, because getting with her would put you in jail. Would you be OK with a 35 year old man texting that to your underage daughter? Don't worry, his court case was dropped so I guess that means he isn't creepy anymore to some people!

When the trailer first started and Rick spoke, I thought , " Oh geez ..." But as it raced on, I was totally getting into it. As this season starts, it may take a minute, like some kind of vocal uncanny valley. But I think the writing will subtly slide us into it, and our beloved characters will assuage our brains like old times. Even if subconsciously, there is a slightly strange version of the Mandella Effect to it all.

the new voices are great. A little different but that’s unavoidable. And honestly it’s what makes it worth watching. These will grow and develop with the characters going forward. If this show runs 10 more seasons then most of what we know those characters as will be those voices and what the actors will inevitably add to them over time.

When Rick is simply talking he sounds very similar however when the "action" starts you can clearly notice the difference. Still sucks that Justin Roiland was replaced, they could have simply waited to find out how the case went. Yeah Ricks voice is mostly there. Its not as deep or gravely as Roilands but still they did a good job finding someone that can capture Ricks character.

When he does the low voice, it's seamless. When he tries doing a higher tone, then I can tell the difference. And Morty's is just spot-on all the way. Honestly, could be worse lol

I thought Morty's voice was the same voice actor(i didnt know Rick and Morty had the same previous voice actor). Thats how spot on his voice was, Morty sounds the exact same!. And Rick for like 95% of the time also sounds spot on. They did a great job with picking new voice actors.

As everyone has said, Morty is spot on. As for Rick, to me it honestly just sounds like he needs to get used to actually yelling in the recording booth and not just that pretend yelling he's got going on. Once he gets used to that, it'll probably be just as good

If everyone thinks Justin was just a voice, you're going to find out how wrong you are when these next seasons feel different and you can't place exactly why. There were improv moments and randomness that only comes from being a specific flavor of crazy.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Adult Swim should be ashamed of themselves. The Domestic Violence charges against Justin Roiland were dropped 2 months after he was arrested on false allegations. I'll never watch another Rick and Morty episode for the rest of my life. I loved Rick and Morty, and you guys threw Justin under the bus. So many men get Domestic Violence charges against them, and then later dropped, only to have their careers ruined by hasty, immoral companies. Johnny Depp was another victim of these companies throwing their hard working employees under the bus. Shame, Shame, Shame on Adult Swim. Innocent until proven guilty. We don't live in an Authoritarian society where you are guilty until proven innocent. Shame on Warner Brothers for throwing Johnny Depp under the bus as well. The sound of their voices is perfect! The delivery does change it a bit. Roiland pronounced his consonants more deliberately, giving it a little more edge and sharpness. I have high hopes for them!!!

Seems like they picked the replacements (imitators) based on how they talked during normal scenes but when the characters have to pop off they can't match the voice squeaks/ harsh tones each of them had

Might take an episode or two to get used to, but Morty is pretty much spot on. Rick sounds a bit more like the pilot version of Rick than the voice he evolved into. But considering how so many voice actors who are not using their natural voice usually end up evolving their sound. Just look at any long-running animation how they sound in the early years is not how they ultimately end up sounding. It could still get there, besides even if Rick's voice doesn't change over time. The writing is still the thing that matters most, just glad they show didn't get the axe.

bro just watch how justin roiland was performing almost every voice actor with similar voice can pull this much but he was diffrent he was adding much more, he was rick for 6 seasons who cares if her wife suddenly accused him for beating her, very low chance with he was one of the most succesfull ones in his job 10 season deal, but thats not the point, nobody actually cares, people only care if they dont have to do anything, its easy to care just enough to tweet about it but you will never see thoose people trying to stop peopel from beating their wives, not just global scale, they wont even protect one single human xd the point is i wont enjoy rick and morty never the same, almost nobody wont

Gonna sound weird, but Rick sounds more clearer, I feel like I can understand what he’s saying more. Maybe less gravelly. Morty sounds a bit more baritone, but I think that’s good, makes it sound like time is passing. Honestly, it’s fine. I like it, now we just gotta see if the next season is entertaining.

So, Rick isn't burping anymore? The burps from seasons 1 through 6 were not sound effects, they were Roilands actual burps, and I assume the new voice actor doesn't drink as often as Roiland, so there goes the raspiness of Rick's voice. To be fair though, he is doing a great impression and that's about as close as they could ever get to the old voice, sure it's not perfect, but considering that he is a completely different person with a completely different throat, he is doing pretty well

I won't say if he's innocent or not, don't know enough about the case to really make an opinion, but he was cleared of the charges, so I guess that's something. I think he was mostly fired due to public backlash; these allegations had been known for a long time and he was charged back in 2020, but he wasn't fired until they became wide spread through the news.
