An AdRic episode with Auspex would be awesome! Some of his best moments are when he (rarely) seemingly goes off script. An hour of unscripted Auspex would be dope He doesn’t do BattleReports (Mordian Glory has said this on stream a time or two). He likely doesn’t want to appear on camera, which is completely respectable

One point on the Orks. The Waagh is declared at the beginning of a battle round, and lasts the whole battle round. If you go second you can benefit from all of the WAAAGH rules for the whole battleround. Your durability goes up, and if someone impacts you and you survive, you can punish them in return. In addition if you heroically intervene in the opponents turn you will be more powerful on close combat.

I think the Necron one, will hinge on our characters and support units, without seeing that, we wont know about how reanimation is buffed etc. GSC having better "reanimation" than us is hilarious...

The flavor of GSC reanimation is endless hordes (ie fluffwise it's not the same models), while for Necrons it is actual reanimation.

Eh eldar are fine in power I think people are just sort of out off since stuff like battle focus is currently missing despite being an extremely iconic ability and existing in some form or another since like 3rd edition. As well as psychic utility somewhat taking a hit. It's not about POWER its about identity.

I'm happy to see the collaboration video! I was hoping that 10th wouldn't have any glaringly inferior armies, but like 9th edition, there seems to be winners and losers. Seeing the datasheets might even it out, but we'll just have to see. Maybe in practice they'll be better.

Honestly, the blood of the martys detachment rule from sisters feels a bit weird to me: They get inspired by the death of their allies, but they still have to make a battle-shock test every command phase xD...I mean Celestine getting buffed cuz she wants vengeance for her two allies, but then she has to make a normal battle-shock test every command phase...

I’m going tau for 10th I really like the working together army rule & not a bad detachment rule until the codex comes out. Plus I like the change to drones always put me off taking them as felt quite oppressive for you’re opponent. Great collaboration by the way fan of both channels 🙂👍🏻.

All my armies have great rules going into 10th. Sisters, Tau, Crons, and Grey Knights are ALL either 4 or 5/5 for game impact, imo. I bought the 9th BT box set, cause I started in 3rd and COULD NOT pass up that John Blanche full cover art, So IF I start a Marine army then my BT have some pretty good rules.

I'm starting an Ork Army as well, so it's cool to see they look like they will be fun to play. Not going to be going for any kind of Meta builds though, just buying minis I like. They have loads of cool stuff though, probably the best army since you don't have to run them as horde any more. I think that was the only thing really putting me off in the past. I really didn't fancy painting 200 Boyz.

Grey Knights really want the second turn in the first battle round. They can start with 500p in deep strike, drop one early in the enemy movement phase, then bring 3 moreunits into deep strike and then drop all other units in their first turn for the ultimate alpha strike, while the unit that got dropped with rapid insertion gets to move in and reliably charge.

Happy to see my Templars looking decent. They were the Loyalists of choice for me when I got some Primaris. Fell into the "oh no, black is hard" hole though, so fell behind on painting them. I think I will have to just settle for black with triple edge highlights to get them done. They do look really clean when done well like that. I was also thinking of just painting them another colour, also. Anyone ever do the Red or Blue Templars? I think they are both canon. I have also thought about doing some yellow panel on them to break it up, but then if I was to paint those more volumetric, it might not look right with the 'eavy metal style black with blue highlights. I think any other colours on the armour will have to be highlighted in the same fashion, so wouldn't solve anything. I'm looking forward to getting to paint some Orks soon. Much more free to experiment, and also learn to advance through painting Ork flesh. This big bodies with lots of detail are perfect for learning how to do proper highlights and glaze and stuff.

@Chris Barrett GW white is bad. Get yourself some AK 3rd gen white. You can also just get a thing of Pro Acryl - Bold titanium white. it's really thick though, so you have to thin it right down. The best thing to actually do with it though is use the pro acryl as an additive to your existing white. Before I discovered the AK 3rd gen white, I would use a mixture of pro acryl and vallejo model colour white. The pro acryl just levels up the other brand. I know people used to use white ink as well to get a good white, but I think either AK, or using Pro acryl to level up another white is the best at the minute.

@Chris Barrett PS: I was referring to doing volumetric black though. like trying to make it look more like true black armour would look like. it's one of the hardest things to paint. Just doing fantasy black though, with either blue or grey edge highlights is not difficult (well as long as you can do the edge highlights)

I assume that enemy-specific abilities like those of the Deathwatch or Grey Knights will probably be found in the Stratagems. The reason being that, if you put those into general Detachment or Faction rules, you overcost the army in engagements that are not against their favoured enemies.

I picked up death guard last christmas cause i love to paint them and have played with a little in ninth against my friends, lost every time because i was new but now i think ill porbaly stick to painting them and play with my growing eldar army instead. It's not that dg are weak now that is my problem it is that the playstyle i liked for them feels gone.

For Genestealers - I'm kind of curious if there might be some factions that literally wouldn't be able to cover enough of the board to prevent the respawn and you'd end up with an endless game. Armies of a few very high cost units (knights, custodes, etc.) might not have enough coverage if they were built wrong, and might have to change their setup to something that gives them more units simply to stamp out the respawn.

An excellent collaboration! It's unusual to see Bricky so straight-laced in his delivery, but having the two different personalities bouncing back and forth really makes this video much more interesting than one person on their own. One small criticism - there are a lot of tiny pauses in between swapping commentators or even in their own sentences, and it drags the pacing down a bit. Other than that, great video :^)

I had a question about army rules and souping. in 10th can you still use any units that share the imperium keyword together in your army and if so do you not get an army rule if you're mixing and matching different units from different factions?

Of course it's not a surprise that the army rule for the Chaos Space Marines is one of the weakest - and the only one with a downside attachted to it. Combined with the "death" of the legions as full-fledged subfactions there is very little to look forward to regarding this faction. It's amazing that GW manages to give the middle finger to players of this faction almost every time they have the chance to.

Combat Doctrines should have been the Army Rule, with Oath of Moment being the detachment rule. That way Blood Angels, Space Wolves and Dark Angels still get access to advance and charge. ;)

I agree and then we wouldn't have half of Oath of moment being pointless for any Death Company Unit on a charge. I will try both at some point but I currently don't know which detachment I am going to run.

They do get access to that Detachment. GW specifically stated that all chapters get access to the Gladius Task Force Detachment

@Jonas Andersson They haven't confirmed that, I'm not sure why they'd say you can take this task force as BA, DA, SW et al and not be able to take Sang Guard, Deathwing, Wold Guard or Sword Brethren. They have no confirmed, nor have they made any indication they wouldn't allow those units
