When he hates a game he talks about how janky the mechanics are while showing clips of glitches from the game. When he likes a game the video is just a compilation of a bunch of references accompanied by loud music. He clearly likes this one.

The DiGiorno's analogy is pretty good. Pizza Tower isn't an amazingly great game, much like how DiGiorno's isn't an amazingly great pizza. But if you haven't had a good pizza in 15 years, the same amount of time since the last Wario Land game, any good pizza tastes like a damn good pizza. Pizza Tower is a damn good pizza.
Really takes me back from playing bug bunny on the arcade. Whoever made this game loved video games. So many Easter eggs. The metal slug cameo is so good.
I checked the release today, 2023. Given that fact I guess it wouldn’t be original but given competition and other recent games I guess one could argue the style is unique/different. It’s not anything that hasn’t been done before but it is still well executed imo either way
I would watch an hour long video of just dunky running full speed at an enemy and it stopping right before he hit them and he does a little voice line. It doesn't even have to be in the game too, real life works as well
The montage at 4:45 should be the official commercial for the game. Imagine being 8 years old in the 90s watching Nickelodeon and that bad boy comes on! Instant Christmas list!
This amazing game was made in Gamemaker Studio. I've worked with gamemaker before, the developers have to be absolute masters of gamemaker to make a project this complex. :D
What's even crazier is he is a character from a 1969 comedy album by the Firesign Theater, which is in itself a parody of the name of a Beatles song "Rocky Raccoon"
The amount of stuff dunkey brings up in his videos always makes me think he just makes everything up years in advance so it doesn't seem like a ploy when a game finally has relation to said thing

The creative style and variety is awesome. I have only one minor complaint in that the art all blends together to well. Even though the art is awesome, the characters and interactive objects don't stand out. Boarders and shading could fix that easily.
I love the artstyle and animation of this game. The artstyle has a nice retro, internet, Microsoft Paint vibe to it and the animation feels like it comes straight out of Ed, Edd n Eddy. I love it
It's funny, that's kinda why i dislike the game lol. I totally understand where people are coming from with this, but something about the way it looks is very unappealing to me. I'm sure it will grow on me tho, as all amazing indie platformers do!
