So I just learned that (a) this coffee ice cream is really good, and (b) it is NOT a bedtime snack. I had a big bowl of this the other night, and then when I was still awake at 4am I suddenly remembered the ESPRESSO.

For iced coffee I literally just brew coffee and put in some coffee cubes and add in all my creams and powders and sweeteners as usual, and then because I always use my travel mug I screw on the lid and give it a good shake 🤷

Put a little salt in the coffee grounds before brewing

With the salt trick, you need to put it in the coffee GROUNDS before brewing it. Try it that way and it should help!

I put salt in with the grounds. Not in the cup. That sounds gross lol.

Try adding the salt to the grounds before brewing. If I get a bitter bag of coffee that's what I do. It works great!

The best iced coffee in a pinch: 2 tsp of coffee plus 1tsp sugar mix with boiling water. Just enough to disolve the liquid so it's not watery. Add in milk 3 quarters of the way and some Hersheys chocolate topping (Or whatever you fancy!) Throw in 2 or 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream, and mix again. More milk and topped with whip ⚘ It's how i survive summer in Australia while still desperately needing caffeine! Haha

With the salt in the coffee you might want to put it over the grounds before you brew it.

I like to buy 1 drip Coffee with flavor and one without then mix them together so the flavor wont be stong.

You are suppose to add the salt with the coffee grinds not directly into your coffee XD
ShelbyRaeMarshall Anos atrás
Nestle makes an "iced coffee" syrup that you mix with milk, and it's sooooooo good omg. It's hard to find where I live, but so worth it if you can (with the acceptance that it's not coffee really, just disguising itself as coffee-like deliciousness.)

The pinch of salt is supposed to be put in the grounds prior to brewing. My dad did this when I was a little girl in the 60's.. He swore by it. 😃

when adding salt add it to your grounds not the coffee itself

I use the salt hack because everyone in my house likes dark coffee and if I want coffee it’s too bitter but with a little bit of salt it makes it better :)

DELICIOUS instant iced coffee: cold water (3/4 of the way) nescafé instant coffee (however strong you want it), sweetened condensed milk (1/4), ice cubes and ENJOY!
Sarah.93.Reads Anos atrás
I’m sure people know this hack: if I want chocolate/mocha flavor in my coffee, I just add a packet (or 1/2 ) of instant hot chocolate. Its a great alternative to adding extra “mocha” creamer that you’d get at the store (a lot of people keep instant hot choc at home). Or another easy on the go mocha, stir in chocolate chips to hot coffee, wait until they melt and add cream or milk if you like. No extra sugar needed.

I usually just make my coffee put in creamer and if I'm on the go just put ice in it. Instant ice coffee!😊

Try coffee with Hersheys chocolate syrup in it. It's amazing and taste like hot chocolate! Fill cup halfway with coffee Then add alittle almond milk or whole milk Then add the chocolate syrup DRINK!!

Lol my only hack is that I make coffee cubes and that makes it colder faster and honestly it’s more coffee for me to drink 😂 and it isn’t watered down.

Nigella also has a no-churn ice cream recipe that is bitter orange (either Seville oranges or an orange and a couple of limes). Similarly amazeballs. It isn't bitter so much as... edgy.

On the instant cold coffee; try using more of the instant coffee.

Is the ice cream the consistency of a frosty from Wendy's? It looks like it would be.

Some people are more sensitive to bitter tastes, so that might be why you don't taste the difference and just taste salt :) I really want to eat that ice cream...but alas...I'm caffeine free.
Victoria McGill
Victoria McGill Anos atrás
If you use a percolator add a pinch to the grinds and you will lose the bitterness... also cinnamon in the grinds is amazing!!!

Try about 1 or half table spoon of coffee with 2 to 3 table spoon of sugar mix all with hot water and then put about a table spoon of unsalted butter. I tried it once and it tasted good. Depends on how much of everything you mix in. This coming from a person who can't drink coffee and I drank half a cup deliciously and then got a stomachache about 15 mins later.... But tbh, my stomach is very sensitive towards liquids coffee (coffee flavored cake, ice cream, sweets etc doesn't do that.... I just get headaches lol)

You should do a taste test of different coffee brewing methods!! I was doing research to find out which "maker" to get and didn't find much to go off of. So you could make coffee using a traditional machine, a KCup machine, French Press, and so on then judge the flavor!! I would love to hear your opinion on the best tasting coffee-making method!! ❤❤❤

I don't add the salt to the coffee in my cup but to the grinds. I put in the beans add a dash of salt and several hefty dashes of cinnamon and some ground nutmeg (I use whole nutmeg and a microplane). Then I add the hot water (I use a french press). Sometimes i will also add a hefty pinch of cocoa to the coffee grinds as well. It just mellows out the coffee and brings out the flavor. It has no chocolate taste.
