Metallica: Atlas, Rise! (Official Music Video)

Can't understand the negative comments about the vocals. I have been incredibly surprised and blown away by the quality of the vocals on these 3 tracks, especially the production of them. I want to say they are the best since the old school days but frankly, I like them even better than that. Perfect combination of evil Hetfieldy gnarl and awesome modern production. Very cool stuff.

Just had my first son this year, named him Atlas. This will forever be his victory song.

This is an underrated song. I forgot how enjoyable it really is.

A perfect show. But the riffs after 3:35 and 4:25 are unbelievable and I think they become a classic. No other band can catch this harmony.

Not only is this song legendary, but this is also PERFECT to practice downpicking endurance. This is literally the best song to start with.

Lars is a drummer that wanted to be a guitar player and James is a guitar player that wanted to be a drummer and it has made for some of the most unique arrangements and riffs ever\m/

One thing I have always appreciated about Metallica is they make the music they want to make. Critics be damned.

I was jamming to this on my way to work. Love the entire song. I've been a fan of Metallica since I was 15 and I'm 40 now. Amazing band!!!

My son's name is Atlas, I named him because of this song. When i listen to this song in the car, he yells 'thats my song' and starts to headbang in his seats . He is 5 years old now. :))

Now some honest feedback: This song is quite the surprise! it has some Death magnetic flavor but the riff constantly reminds me of Hallowed be thy name (Iron Maiden), the song is pretty standard, nothing too extraordinaire, but it's something you can listen to without getting tired of it. Lyrically speaking, James is on top of his game again! :D imagine this song live, that's what this song is missing, the roaring metallica family on the background. Remember that every album is composed of "Bridge songs" like Tool, remember the 4TH Song of the lateralus album? That one called "Mantra" that leads up to the fantastic "Schism" track? What if this Metallica Song is just preparing us for the next track of the album, "Now that we're dead" we had the frantic "Hardwired to self destruct" before "Atlas Rise" you see the pattern? Start off heavy no boundaries!! then slow down a bit, then retaliate with a heavier shot! This track is just the warm up of something bigger, heavier and fucking epic.

You know you've made it when your own personal studio is bigger than a lot of other recording studios regardless of genre. 🤘

One thing, i will probably die not being able to meet the guys and say thank you for metallica. They are my heros. Since i was 12 they have been with me everyday. Through bullying, through family deaths, through tough times, through good times. Ive always kept positive and rocking along to metallica. Thank you lars for learning me to play the drums. This song got me back into playing guitar, the transitions are incredible.

This video shows that they are people too. Playing and writing music 34 years later and still being excited and happy about it. It makes me tear up every time.

4:25-4:45 should have been played twice. Or multiple times throughout the song. Kickass riff.

Although they sound like their age and the technology sounds too digital/modern, they rock harder and closer to their Thrash roots here than anything from TBA, Load, and Reload, maybe even St. Anger. One of my favorites from they did after the 80s.

I don't like too fast and complicated music. This is so cool. Easy listen and fun.
