Newer & Better Version of this compilation: • Matthew McConaugh... Craig and matthew mcconaughey get along well, they both like the south, and thats not an innuendo ;) Support this channel if you want more of these. Thanks.
YES! and I love how you cut the videos to conserve the important bits and rid the fluff. 👍 you do a great job at this... in keeping our ever shrinking attention spans vibrant. 😜
I love Matthew Mcconaughey ... he deserves all the money he gets and happiness.... he's transparent with his joy and a real lovely human being. a spiritual contentment thats contagious
Absolutely! I don't consume celebrity books/bios, but I'm very tempted to read his recent Green Light. IDK if you've been aware, but MS media trying to cancel Matthew Mcconaughey for doing interviews w/ J. Peterson and Joe Rogan is the last F'ing straw for me. Dude is wholesome AF. 'Aright 'Aright 'Aright!
@HighOnDialectic they’re not gonna cancel Matthew McConaughey because he’s got too powerful a voice. Also his podcast with Rogan is fabulous... I’ve been watching it in ~ 1 hour installments
I was thinking the same. I can be so impulsive and defensive rarely, but I still don't like it. This guy is chill, charismatic, and quick witted. He seems very happy.
To be entirely honest, I'd pretty sure that I would be very intimidated if I were sitting there having a beer or whatever with him. He's just way too cool. I'd feel so inadequate. :)
Does anyone see how much more these guests relax show by show? It's incredible.. By the 3rd or 4th run they're basically at home, showing their true self.:.. No fucking cue cards or personality adjustments, just pure talking, human to human
Bravo, Craig is a consummate professional. I love, love McConaughey and Craig brings out the best in his guests. I am glad to have stumbled on this site. Thank you for posting.
I know right? He really does bring the best out in everyone. Probably bc he's just so real and laidback with his guests. You could see the same guests on another talk show and it sucks bc the host is just... insincere. But then they come here and it's amazing. I miss this show so much. God bless this channel for all the wonderful (and incredibly hd) uploads
I'm from Spain and if It wasn't for people like you I wouldn't know this piece of art of the human behavior, so thanks indeed. Quien tuviera a estos dos tipos como amigos!
From 30:40 to 32:08 that's the pinnacle, beautiful, comfort, & hilarity with very quick wittedness. Replayed it more than 5 but less than 10 times, but I wouldn't be ashamed if it was more than 10, shit was hilarious.
It's so awesome to see the progression between these two, and how much they like each other and are comforted, in the chaotic atmosphere of a talk show. This is fantastic. Thank you for putting this together Jayleno Fly :)
There was a time where I wasn't a Matthew fan. mainly because he pretty much played the same guy in everything. But then he started doing other type roles, and he really hit my likable radar. I loved him in Dallas Buyers Club. and I thought he was amazing in Interstellar, and the first season of True Detective, and a few others. But through all of it, he's always been an ace in interviews. Just a chill guy, with a top notch sense of humor.
Check out his book Green Lights. I was listening to a podcast he was doing, talking about Green Lights, and Matthew mentions he could only get cast as that one type! Then, he took a break and said he wasnt going to that one type anymore so people would see him as something different. And it worked.
I never really watch Mathhew Mcconaughey movies, but what a chill guy. How he handles craig ferguson is great and he plays off of it. It's nice to see that from an A list celebrity instead of someone being awkward and all they want to do is plug their movie.
Dallas Buyers Club and True Detective, definitely worth watching. Seriously, those are great, and his performance went from "okay" to "uniquely good". I didn't really like him before Dallas Buyers Club, but after he played that role he had my total attention. What a character, also a pretty charming man (to us Europeans, he is the personification of the classic American man. I know we are wrong, but still... So effortlessly American-style cool!)
Hey thanks for uploading this stuff. Craig's show was so original. It was honest, funny, didn't pull it's punches, it was fucking real. Long Live Craig Ferguson! Thanks for keeping these old episodes alive on youtube, keep on posting them!
Great job. I have been binge watching so many of your videos, that I've gotten behind on binge watching my t.v. shows. Even got my wife interested. Thank you very much. Keep it up.
3:57 "my airplane" joking one-upping insult. This is a healthy interaction between two grownups, Craig is like you won't mind if I tease you because I like you, Matthew is like yeah I don't mind if you tease me because I like me too.
@CaptainAMAZINGGG he went back to Scotland with his family. Probably fishing some fish and eating veggie haggis. Good for him, he looks better than ever now (I didn't even know that was possible).
Craig is hi octane nonstop talking show, full energy, he’s so witty and focused, he can switch roles, switch topic on a dime. Guests like to come cos there’s never a dull moment . Wow, Craig doing a Micheal Cain at 45.10 is so good.
2 of my favorite guys. a thrill to see em together. Craig Ferguson is incredibly quick and funny. Mcconaughey? he keeps up with Ferguson, but what a smoothie. class act the both of them. all the great movies Mcconaughey has been in, hell I even dug the car commercials
Been binge-watching these for some days now. First time I get the really strong vibe that Craig is NOT the one in complete control of the room, the audience and the other person, but quite the opposite.
It’s funny how the first time an actor does Craig’s show, you can see them thinking, “this guy is fucking weird, but funny.” They definitely open up and seem to really dig the vibe.
Now THAT’S a bromance! Craig didn’t make fun of him at all, he respected him, he reveres him! Scorpios aren’t to be messed with. And the Gemini knows that ! Top stuff.
Too funny holy shit I actually break out into full on laughter every time I watch the show. It also always seems like he connects with the actors every time
@The Jayleno Fly | Thank you for keeping these alive! I keep coming back. There something so purely enjoyable in Craig's show, no other late show has (or had) it. I wish he would come back. And Matthew is sooooo cooool! What a voice.
I lov how Craig plays up getting 'intimidated' by cool people, and Matthew MC has pretty mythic levels of Texas sexy charm, obvs, but Craig somehow lets you forget for a moment what it's like when he turns it on in his own right. Sheesh. Imagine being in the same room as the two of them at the same time?
Matthew is soooo American lol. And thanks for these videos! I've been binge watching little by little every night lol 😊 MM: "Well, when you hear him, you won't think that he's... White" lmao!
It’s funny how he did romcoms for most of the 2000’s then after he got famous enough to do whatever he wanted he’s knocked it outta the park pretty much every time 😎
I love the first interview, you can see Matthew trying to figure out if Ferguson is making fun of him, is it a bit, what is he doing lol and eventually goes with it.
I believe he's done a few interviews in the past year or so. But he is true Texan/Southern and doesn't talk much politics or religion outside of family.
Nah craig never talks about movies or shows... he only does when he either likes it , he wants to genuinely know about it or just when he has nothing to talk about so he breaks the silence by talking about the movie.
That last show tough, I don't know what metaphora to use describe such awesomeness, pinnacle of cool happening there. Brothers in arms playing of each other and going to commercial that gaze Mr. Alright alright alright laid down to the audience. It's like their gift to us, fucking mellow shit right there, loving each moment of these meets. So much respect for both of these professional entertainers. The stories the good times are here to be enjoyed for future generations, have a fucking good time human being !
Start with Dazed and Confused(1993); which is an awesome teen movie that takes place in the mid 70's. This is where Matthew's signature line: 'Alright, alright, alright.' initially came from. His character; Wooderson, was a slightly older dude always chasing a good time. Matthew was also pretty good in this legal film: A Time To KIll(1996), with Sandra Bullock and Samuel L. Jackson.
