Anyone else notice how hard the draw is on the VXR. Very stiff . Feels 5-6 lbs heavier than what it is. I love everything else about it.

How do you like the bow without a stabilizer? After shooting the bow today at my local shop. I was very pleased with the balance on the VXR28.

I think these new Mathews balance well I don't even use a stabilizer on my traverse because it holds so well and the new bows ain't different the 31.5 at least didn't shoot the 28

I'm definitely the biggest Matthews fan. Like bowsite videos too! Definitely professional grade work. Makes me want to get out to the Midwest for a hunt!!! I have the Halon 32 and Vertix. I sold my Triax. While I really liked the diminutive dimensions I found it hard to keep consistent on long shots. Plus I'm shooting 29" draw length and that created a super strong angle. A level 3 coach thought I should even shoot 29.5. So did you find the sizing to be an issue? I really want to go back to 28" because I saddle hunt and climb trees with lots of gnarly branches so smaller is definitely better there.

It's a lot better because of the grip, the Triax is a great bow but the flat back can be very unforgiving if just 1 thing is wrong in the shooters form. I went in wanting to buy the 31.5 and left with this VXR 28 it shoots better in my opinion for me anyway, longer guys or longer ATA shooters will want the 31.5

A lot of bows are getting bigger and bigger cams. They make the string angle less harsh. And POWER!!

What advantage would I really be gaining by getting the 28” axle to axle rather than the 31”?

@Kevin Hall go to Hoyt please 🤣🤣 they copied 3 things from Mathews this year, the integrate, the string stops on the modules and split yoke, you're getting a copy of a Mathews! The way you talk you would fit right in! 15 years of archery huh LOL 2016 the Halon, which lowered the grip, widened limbs, then Hoyt did then the Triax had the dampner low out front then Hoyt did, last year they totally changed the grip and made switchweight which is genius, the riser on my VXR 28 is 4 inches longer then the Triax, the bigger bushing is noticable for me because I'm using a Quivalizer. I hope you do go buy a copy of Mathews because someone needs to keep that company in buisness!

Damn that's fukn sexy! I may wait until next year tho when they make a larger bow, 30 ATA is a better shooter for me, but I've said this before, this bow looks nasty sick!!!! Edit....nm they have a 31.5 shiiiit TAKE MY MONEY LOL

@Rusty Shackleford if you had a sight on it you would see it's a lot more stable! But it's all good, you have a good bow!

@Boxing 101 I want a 33 34 ata bow and shot the vxr the other day nice but not a big upgrade over my bow

@Rusty Shackleford the 31.5 riser is almost as long as the 36!!!
Boxing 101
Boxing 101 4 meses atrás
@Rusty Shackleford this 31.5 is the Traverse upgrade, the riser on the 31.5 is an inch longer then the 33 ATA Traverse! So I went in my buddies shop and was 99% wanting the 31.5 and after shooting them, I walked out with the 28 lol I have been shooting it a lot the last week and its jaw dropping how accurate this bow is, I'm stacking arrows at 50 yards, I need to make a live video with this bow! It's most definitely quieter then any of the other bows which is nuts and hard to think of! It holds better then the Vertix or Traverse in my opinion it's just nuts how it shoots so accurate. I love this bow so much, I'm going to sell my Vertix and purchase the 31.5 as well lol
