@Kara and Nate may I ask how old Rick is? He looks to be my brothers age, 50’s? If he is even in his high 40’s I give him man props because this is not a challenge most people in their late 40’s and 50’s can even dream about accomplishing, and here he is crushing it with the two younger men.
He and Eamon are very kind in that of way always thinking of others, but Carebear seems the same way, which is why they make such an amazing pair. Side note but I got pancreatitis when my abdomen and chest went flying into the handlebars of my bike when I was going hella fast. I didn’t even know that was possible but apparently it is. Apparently injury the stomach where the pancreas is can cause inflammation thus pancreatitis. So if you do ever wreck and start having stomach pain that can even radiate into the chest, get that looked at ASAP and let the dr know you did injure your abdomen prior to symptoms.
I just watched their video of Kara wanting to show the rawness as she called it of them living in the van, and having flash backs of when they first started their van life and how everything was just so, then she showed how life in the van actually is. I wish they’d share more of those types of videos because otherwise people think that they have this posh life and just fly by the seat of their pants with no worries and two of the 3 women have been through breast cancer. Bec, of Eamon and Bec channel, was even getting radiation while filming videos with them all) and Aimee was the other (of Kingin It.) I think it is easy to presume they get all these sponsors and make such good money being able to just travel all the time like they are on a permanent vacation, but I imagine it would be extremely difficult while trying to make it appealing to their audience… which they do a great job of, but I also know there has to be a lot of struggle in this lifestyle as well.
Usually I would NEVER watch a youtube video this long. I clicked on the video and didn't even pay attention to how long it was until I was 50 minutes in! I loved this so much and I love how you guys edit the videos. It's so fun and entertaining. There's always angry, disappointing and sad moments but when you all are smiling and so happy it makes my day! WOW! Overall the best video I've ever watched. (NOT JOKING) 😀😂
I was so surprised that they didn't bring headlamps. You're going biking in the middle of the forest how do none of you have any lamps? What if you get lost? What if one of the bikes break & you have to move much slower than anticipated? What if one of you gets injured & you need to get a look at it? Carrying extra basic simple things like this can make a huge difference when things go south. And things can go south very quickly.
I love how thoughtful all of you are to one another - how Nate makes Kara and Dusty coffee in the mornings, Bec & Kara (and Evie & Frankie) leaving beer for "the Dads" and how Rick is worried about Dusty coping with the increased altitude. I also love how supportive you all are of one another and how much you're all into the adventure. Thanks for continuing to share your amazing lives :)
Kara the way you went from Nate saying “I hate this, I hate this, I hate this” to you just chilling drinking your coffee. This is just one of the reasons why you guys are my favorite❤️
I was skeptical on the hour and 15 minutes but every single second I couldn't turn away. This is awesome great great great storytelling and cinematography
My favorite thing about you guys is that you feel like my best friends and I don't even know you. Been in a heavy depression and I went from an adventurous, free-spirited person who was always outside to someone who doesn't go outside much. I feel like I'll get back to that one day and watching your videos, especially the 100 countries documentary, makes me believe that anything is possible and won't be this way forever. I went to 26 states in 6 months at 21 and got to keep telling myself I wont stop until I visit all 50 too. Seriously love this channel.
I love the back and forth between Kara's challenges and Nates challenges. They look different, obviously, but it's cool to see what growth looks like for each of them.
FINALLY I have a free day to binge watch this whole series. I felt like it deserved my undivided attention 🙌🏻 you both are amazing, the physical and mental toll of this adVANture is unimaginable. You are both super hero’s. The “Dads” determination and drive is insane. Kara and the girls being the support vans and having to worry constantly about what they men were doing and keeping them healthy. Holy smokes, you are all amazing!!!🧡 much love and support coming from NJ (come visit our under rated but beautiful beaches *island beach state park*)
Aww those cute kids 🙈🙈 really took the vlogging seriously, they read out a book ❤️, danced and sang just to keep us entertained . Love kara for her support nd nate 😍 was awesome .
Those kids are so so cute! That would be so fun as a child exploring like this and camping out like they are doing. And the fact they called all the men dads and making a sign for all the dads is adorable.😂❤
One of our family activities now is watching your channel. For this over an hour vlog, we have popcorn, drinks and dimmed the light to spend a good hour watching. Thank you for keeping us energetic especially at this SIP time. Keep up the good work!
"I'm starting to learn that I'm a little bit useless without him" Haha. But Kara your editing is getting so good these days! This video is so well edited!
Wow, I can't even begin to imagine the amount of footage Kara had to go through when editing this epic 1 hr 15 min long "vlogumentary"! Love how you all work together as one big team to support each other, and particularly enjoyed watching the next generation of BRvid vloggers (Frankie and Evie) talking to the camera ❤️ Congratulations on finishing the Colorado Trail and enjoy the rest of your time in Leadville 😀
@Lachlan Kellett True, according to the vlog they haven't finished yet, but their vlogs are always a bit behind of where they are right now (more recent updates can be found on their Instagram/Facebook or by signing up to their "Sunday Summary" mailing list). But you are right, I expect that the rest of the trail will be featured in the next vlog.
Wow Kara! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 You’ve done a phenomenal job editing this vlogumentary! I also appreciate all the commentary and filming done by all parts! We enjoyed watching it from start to finish over the past two evenings!
I just never wanted this video to end. This was one of best works & i thought the 100 country long vlog was ur best, this easily topped that. The Colorado trail is so beautiful, it was just mesmerizing at few points😍. Also, evie & frankie taking control of the vlog for few minutes were so cute, such nice change of pace, breath of fresh air.
I had a few biking related accidents this summer, so watching you guys just casually ride through rocks and narrow paths was pretty painful 😅 Still, the video is amazing!
Well done guys!!! you did absolutely amazing. And well done to the SUPORT VAN'S!! Thank you for putting together an hour long film. You guys are amazing and I am so proud of the "DADS" CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!
Guys you are absolutely amazing, whenever I see you posted new video, straight makes my day. Nate and guys really huge respect for all the way which you done. Kara looks like you getting into all the van stuff, soon you can be an expert for it :D
Your videos literally give me peace in this chaos. Just relaxing and you guys are so amazing and have already done so many things in your life. Love your guy videos SO MUCH!
This was one of my favorite videos of your guys yet! I know it is such a lot of work to edit and put together this video...so well done! An hour and 15 minutes flew by...can't wait for the next one!
Hey guys i've only made it about 25 mins through so far but wanted to comment on the video so far! Both of your experiences are so different and I love being able to watch them both simultaneously. Great editing, so far every minute has kept me interested. I am excited to watch the rest!
I haven't finished but day 4 Kara getting nervous about Nate and them getting to the campsite safely made me SO EMOTIONAL 😭😭i love you guys. BEST SUPPORT VAN !!!
It is so amazing and inspiring to see a journey like this. Grueling and hard, but well worth it all, considering the views and I'm sure the sense of accomplishment that comes with it. It makes me want to go hiking more and spend more time out in nature. It's something we tend to take for granted. You two are the best travelling couple on BRvid in my own personal opinion. Thank you so much for sharing through your eyes your adventures, different cultures and beautiful places. Your videos have been a huge sense of comfort to me in the time of this pandemic and my struggles to my personal mental health. You guys remind me that the world is big, it is my oyster and I can accomplish my dreams or anything I set my mind t if I work hard enough and have the ambition to keep pushing. Much love, Autumn from Tucson, Arizona.
I've always enjoyed your guys's videos, but I absolutely adored this one! I love seeing so much of your personalities and interactions! You remind me so much of my husband and I, I think we need to be besties 😝
I been watching you guys for the past 3 weeks everyday. I have decided to start watching the vlogs from the very beginning. I’m currently on vlog 152 in South Africa. I can’t wait to catch up with your adventures in the camper. Be with you soon. I’m loving the vlogs 👏👏👏
Really, really loved this one! The long form was great. Glad you made it 75 mins. I feel very invested, like I’m on this journey with ya’ll. Can’t wait for the next part! 😄
So impressed by this video! You fit so much in. I like that you showed the highs and lows of the biking trip. The reality of an adventure like that is that there will be pain. It’s an amazing feat. Would love to hear more about the technical aspects of the trail. We’ve done part of the great divide and struggled with aspects of it and i’ve heard it’s less technical than the Colorado trail.
Kara and Nate: This definitely was movie worth, it had thrills and emotions and drama and a bit of comedy. What made me a fan of your channel (from the early days) was the love and respect that you have had for each other. Nate’s morning coffee routine though simple is so touching. And in this vlog Kara’s love flowing out in the form of concern .. one look at her face and you could see the depth of their love. Her “Nate you better be there .. “ very touching. Take care you 2. And do continue your adventure for ever 😀.
I’ve been getting more and more into this channel this last year. After going back and watching this video I’m becoming obsessed. Making me wanna start biking again. I need to shed those winter lbs.
Love the long form content like this! Makes me feel better about not being able to go anywhere... Would be insane to join you guys on an adventure some time... (maybe not the 10gs it takes to get to Antartica though considering some of us are poor students still)...
No matter what, hardwork and love always pays off no matter what the situation the world goes through.. You guys are a legend just keep up the faith which you both always hold on to.. Love you both
the way you edited the video when Nate was struggling on his bike saying "I hate this- I hate this" and then switched to Kara when she was enjoying her coffee is hilarious hahahahh
It's awesome to see kara grow in her knowledge of her abilities. It's great to be able to take of things when your partner isn't there or is not able to or even to be able to switch up the daily routine. It's also great to see a fresh face and down to earth. No extras no over done makeup no hideous tattoos and clothes that cover the body. May seem old fashion but I get tired of the antics that most youtubers go through to get attention. It's great to see you go through my home state.
You guys are by far my favorite travel vloggers! I was excited to see how long this video was and I enjoyed the whole thing! also those kids are so adorable when they would come up to the camera 😂🥰
So awesome!!!! I was glued to the screen while I’m stuck in quarantine lol this video really made my day !! You guys are truly amazing great job the dads 😂
The fact that synopsis of this video is an exploration of Nate’s embrace of a remarkable challenge but the real story is actually the evolution of Kara from fully dependent into a completely self-empowered person. Good long form video, nice work
Kara - fully dependent? Ever? No way! Does she know more about the van now? Yeah! It is obvious that Nate likes doing all of the van stuff (wires, hoses, bathroom stuff) which is normal for a guy. In typical Kara fashion, she stepped up to the plate and did what she had to do! I love this about her. Kara and Nate compliment one another in so many wonderful ways. They truly enjoy one another's company!
@Cam DeHart Hi! Not the positivity police-just someone who appreciates honesty and owning your comments, even when they are unpopular and slightly misogynistic. There’s no point in discussing with you further, but I do hope you had a good time on your high horse (>1 hour...in addition to coming back to follow multiple comments and make edits on your own posts...), criticizing people for learning new things, even though you believe in all your authority that they should have known it better or sooner! If that’s all you got from this video, I sincerely hope your outlook improves!
@Cam DeHart Call it what you want, but you aren’t criticizing the channel-you’re just criticizing Kara. Prior to this, Nate has taken on many of the responsibilities of managing the van, likely because Kara takes on the responsibility of managing the channel and editing the videos. Be honest with yourself and everyone here. You’re just sitting on this video for hours (from the looks of all your comments) just being negative. Don’t you have better things to do with your time than to rag on a kind, adventurous couple?
Cam DeHart I am. And a fan of positivity. Reminds me of when I was traveling the country, and knowing how hard it is, can enjoy it from a fresh perspective. Sorry you can’t see that, but you have made your points.
I'm a huge fan I love you guys! I just love seeing the world. It's beautiful out there even in these times. I just can't wait to do what you guys do. It's been a dream of mine to travel. And you guys helped make it come true😊Keep it up, love sitting back and enjoying the world and experience with you all
Hi Kara and Nate! Just wanted to let you both know that I got my wife hooked on your guys videos. I've been following you guys for so long and honestly my favorite channel on BRvid Thank you for making my days better!
Congrats... awesome adventure! Back when I was much younger and less chubby, my husband and I spent 4 months biking around the country loaded with our camping gear. Best experience of our lives! Keep up the fun! Your videography is outstanding, too!!
