Sadly, Blizzard is a game company that fell hard from grace for a bunch of awful management decisions/controversies and this game is their latest attempt to regain fan trust however it's still filled with plenty questionable problems. I'm both a fan of old Blizzard and BTS and I love this song so much yet even I can't really bring myself to embrace it fully since supporting new Blizzard is just icky feeling. You can see there's mostly only ARMY here who are already sick of the boys being used for clout and nearly no one here for the game it's just unfortunate.

I don't play the game, but I've watched Diablo plot videos and was impressed with it. Since I am an Asian, I have a belief in cause and effect, I really feel sorry for Lilith, she was born in a hell with a huge ego from the blood of the hatred devil, perhaps meeting having Inarus as the light of her life, it's like a piece of duality between a world full of conservative ideas, which was created by some god just because he couldn't accept his bad side. but fights itself with the dead part of the darkness in vain. Lilith has a proud ego, so is Inarus, although he loves Lilith, Inarus has never stopped discriminating her status as a demon. When creating the new world, they had too many expectations for a beautiful world, but because of samsara's cause and effect, they also brought their ego, that ideological foundation in the end was just a disappointment hope. Inarus doesn't sympathize with Lilith, he imprisoned her while only wanting to protect his children, hates those who want to kill her children, Inarus is a father who thinks because of his seemingly noble ego to kill her own children. Between Inarus and Lilith is a whirlpool of love and hate, both of them are heavy-hearted for sentient beings, for their children and grandchildren, forever chasing after the virtual values, the prejudices of the world. In the end, her body was exhausted, subjected to enough malicious words, and the judgment of that society all blamed her for her status as a demon. When Lilith is heartbroken, the judgments imposed on her make her blame herself that everything that happened is her fault, and just hope the other man will comfort her by saying "No, it's us, we did it". I feel that the character Lilith has something in common with the Mexican goddess known as Santa Murte - Death Mother, although she is depicted as a goddess of death with a dark scythe but a good deity protect sentient beings!

A little background on this song: It’s the theme for diablo IV - a video game. Halsey and suga are depicting (non-player) characters in the game, and the lyrics reflect the relationship those characters have. Halsey is Lillith - the main villain of the game. Suga is Inarius, her “ex”. She’s a demon and he’s an angel who created humanity together. In the game she has gone a little nuts trying to protect her offspring - to put it mildly. Inarius has returned to Hell to talk some sense into her, but he isn’t the angel he use to be either. His motives are not exactly pure. As the player you are trying to stop both of them. (This is a very brief explanation.)

Yoongi's lyrics was gentle & encouraging. Almost like a different type of Inarius, who used to be in love with Lilith. Halsey's lyrics perfectly embodied Lilith and the mix of vocals is top-tier as always. Overall the song is a job well done! Keep making great music SUGA & Halsey!
this is what i had in mind as well, perfectly embodies Lilith and Inarius, especially when yoongi’s part “I have returned to hell” exactly what Inarius said in the cinematic trailer.
The mood set within the sound is perfectly aligned. I personally think Halsey + Suga have the same vibe, their song writing have a depressive but very hopeful feeling at the same time which hooked me up instantly. And of course, their vocals matched perfectly, have you notice? Too bad this song isn't as hyped as I thought it should! I mean, look at their performance? 🔥💜

Halsey's outfit, hairstyle and makeup is so good in this mv - an upgrade from the performance of this song in 2022 awards. Suga and Halsey's voices blend soooo well together too. I'm glad they collab because they make each other shine in this song.

I unexpectedly arrived here as a recent Army, but what really blows me away is the fact that I would have been totally swept away by this song in ANY CASE. Eerie atmosphere, lyrical crescendo with lurid details, candles and frescoes, a march towards darkness and... voilà, here comes an ultra cool Asian black leather clad prince whose dialogue with Halsey is half velvet, half growl, pure harmony and fiery emotion. Seriously, I can't stop listening to this song, I'd have hopelessly fallen for Suga right here....
I don't know the game, so I can't say if the song fits, but I really like it! Halseys vocals and visuals are insane, and Suga has my respect for rapping in a language that's not his mother tongue. I couldn't imagine speaking even one sentence in Korean lmao. Well done to both of you!
