That very last play where Moss laterals back over his head to Williams was so perfect. You can tell he was also a great basketball player the way he led Williams with that lateral.

@SnipingSkulls nah I'm pretty sure this came out right after the Eagles ran the Philly Special at Superbowl 52. That regular season trick play was much more memorable... C'mon man lol no shit it was made before the Superbowl! The Philly Special isn't just the Eagles best ever trick play of all time, it's the best and most memorable play/play call in NFL history. Considering it was ran during the Superbowl, on 4th and goal, just before halftime, unless a team ever runs a trick play in the Superbowl and its the game winner, the Philly Special is hands down the best play in NFL history

Some of the trick plays that are missing from this montage: The Don Strock pass to Duriel Harris who laterals to Tony Nathan near the end of the first half of the Chargers-Dolphins 1981 AFC Divisional Playoff Game known as "The Epic In Miami", which cut the Dolphins deficit to seven at the half after trailing 24-0 earlier in the game. Also, the Seahawks, in their earlier years under head coach Jack Patera, would use lots of trick plays in their games. For example, the "Hawks would be in a field goal position and Jim Zorn, the holder would throw the ball on one occasion to kicker Efren Herrera and on another Zorn would be in the holder position and would pitch it to running back Sherman Smith.

@Ted Perry It is not just what the Coach prefers, it is exactly what the play is. The designated receiver runs a hook route and then laterals the ball to the trailing runner. Hook and Ladder just sounds close and everyone is familiar with the Fire Engine Hook and Ladder tucks, so the confusion is understandable.
Ted Perry

The Hook & Ladder or as the late, great Coach Shula prefers, The Hook & Lateral. Probably the best executed trick play ever

I figured that would be the one for the Packers. I also remember it being the ballsiest call from McCarthy as it was 4th and 26 from the 27 yard line. Adding that to the fact it was against the Bears was just the best thing ever for a Packers fan.

Eric Taylor

One of the best trick plays I ever saw was in college ball. The Ducks were on 4th down and set to punt. The snap goes and the kicker jumps up as if reaching for a bad snap then turns and runs up field. Everyone runs to recover the bad snap, but there had been no snap. By the time everyone realized what had happened, the center was half way to the end zone.

Great video I don’t know how I missed it. Two things struck me what’s the story with Diedorf saying “even though he’s from Oklahoma he’s got an arm” or throw. And if you see NBA head coaches and players on the bench are more often then not very well dressed but NFL coach’s look like bums. I realize this is most likely the Belichick effect and he can do what he wants including some questionable things involving video. But Matt Patricia looks like an absolute bum
EvilBrainFromOuterSpace
Zachary Mayhew Thank You, the other day I saw what appeared to be little girl of 10 posted a video of her new puppy and how much she loved it and how happy she was and half of the responses that were written to her were people demanding to know if she bought it from a puppy mill when a response did not come the same people posted again and again what are you hiding and called this girl names. I’m not saying this response is that but what said was nothing that should bring any response at all. If Matt Patricia wore the most expensive tailor made suit he would still look like a fat sack of crap who seems to be unaware that he has a tiny birds nest on his face but somehow is aware he has Cheetos in his beard because in a recent game i saw him pull one out of the beard look at it with a slightly puzzled look on his face and eat it. Now I’m only guessing it was a Cheeto because unfortunately I have no power to call for replay and even if I did I’m not sure the replay rules cover the offense of being a hobo. Now I do appreciate the what clothes people should wear inside and outside but I’ve been clear on this concept for almost my entire time on this planet. I’m sorry if this response seems harsh but I do my best to stay away from topics that are possible triggers this is a topic I thought was without opposition and your the first person to comment after that girl was bullied this to is not your fault. I know within a few minutes I may regret posting this but right now I want to.

Some of these receivers just made great catches. If the receiver makes the play by catching the ball over the defender, I don't think you can call that a great trick play. The trick didn't work. The receiver was covered he just made a great catch.

Rams trick punt return 13:56 Stedman Bailey did a great over the shoulder catch of the punted football. It was not noticed much because of the fake on the other side of the field.
