@Tim O'Neill that's not 100% true. If you're good at it people notice because most people half ass it. Healers, support and tanks that are good and don't need to be reminded are very much in demand. But finding competent people across the board is hard due to the Damage Dealer role as most don't understand that managing hate or enmity or whatever term is being used is the whole party's responsibility.

Honestly the vibe i get from this, is that a DND party went and got themselves TPK'd by goblins, and the fighter developed a grudge and made a backup character on the spot, followed shortly after by the others.

I kind of always thought of it more as the party got TPK'd, the DM didn't know how to salvage the session and suddenly another player showed up with a character from another Campaign the DM had run. The DM decided "Well somebody's gotta save these poor bastards." and let him play that character. At least that's the premise I would go for if I was turning this series into a Campaign comic.

@Phillip Ribbink I think that's pretty much what happened. In the manga there's a lot of references to the gods playing a game using mortals as the pieces and when everyone almost dies they directly reference dice being rolled for GS to get back up

@shunkaha I love the comedy of that situation, but at the same time I don't think somebody who played a character as experienced at killing Goblins as Goblin Slayer's player clearly is. Would have gotten killed as easily as the Fighter did. Then again, a Natural 1 has been known to tank whole campaigns, even with experienced players.

I'm surprised at how much it stayed true to the original series. You remember all that stuff mentioned about titan storm, like how the Munk trained with her father and how the witch was a top graduate and had a staff given to her as a graduation gift. well, all that is canon information in the goblin slayer universe. However, that information was only revealed in the manga and the show left all that stuff out, presumably to save time. I'm surprised that this show actually knew all this stuff and added it into itself to give the characters more depth.

This is a high quality abridged. You can see it on the fact that the voice actors microphones are studio level and they have quality editing like that little logo for titan storm.
