@Josh Kimbrough - True story, the 3 people I went with all left in the 8th inning. A friend left with her 11 year old son as it was a school night and my nephew left because he was worried about calls from his company's head office that evening. After Judge's 60th, having seen Stanton would be the 4th hitter, I turned to the group behind me and said the Yankees would load the bases and Stanton would win it with a slam. When it happened, I turned to them and they looked at me like I was God. We were all on such a high I bought them drinks at Billy's across the street. I couldn't sleep until after 2 AM.

@James R Oh I’ve seen Billy’s! It was packed so me and my family went to a near by Tapas bar were they played Aaron Boone’s walkoff, hard to not be romantic about the environment of baseball!

Incredible- my first time in the original Yankee Stadium was ALSO in September 1964! I was 6 years old, my brother was 8, and my Dad took us there around the time the Yanks clinched the pennant that year. What I clearly remember was Whitey Ford pitching that game because I was also left-handed. Small world.

I was there til the end. I would say less than 40% of the crowd was there for the 9th. It was definitely a party atmosphere. I feel sorry for that 60+%.

Same. I'll never root for the Yankees but I'm also not missing a Yankee game because I want to see Judge make history. If I get to watch him hit 62 home runs AND win the triple crown I'll have memories that will last a life time.
