Did that take off clearance, from the guy sounding like he was Indian ethnicity, include the expression 'zero discussion' or are my ears getting worse?

I bet its not cheap to buy a plane like this.

You can time share them. His plane is from the 1980's. It's been kept well and updated. So yeah it's not cheap but it will hold its value well. He'll probably get back close to what he paid for it. Wiki the type of plane be has: apparently it's fairly modern in design and they sell for the same dollar price as new. If it cost $150k in 1980 then it's probably worth $150k now.

Matt. You are parked right next to our hangar at KBJC; 30 feet from the porta-potty and 100 feet from our hangar. Amaze balls. And yes, that self serve is shite.

As you were headed into Canada, I thought “I wonder what airport they’re heading to.” Then I notice the screen showing the weather for and a moment later the shot showing you landing in my hometown of Kelowna (CYLW)! I went to high school just across the highway from the airport. Seemed to be a brief customs stop so I can’t really ask if you enjoyed the city but I hope you got some nice scenery coming up the valley. I’m obviously biased but it is one of my favourite approaches as a passenger.

A magical film Matt. How you juggle the flying and the filming is beyond me. Great episode.

"First-Class" video! You need to tell the viewers a little bit of a back-story on Rachel. We think it may be a love-at-first-sight kind of story. She seems very well acclimated flying in a small aircraft. Also, we think you're Netflix bound, too, with your great travels.

So in a VFR flight, everyone is looking inside busy with mobile devices while on autopilot? Really bad airmanship on behalf of the pilot.

From just up the road at 'One Hundred Fifty Mile House' but pronunciation notwithstanding, love watching the adventures unfold. I've flown rotary death contraptions all over the US and Canada, but am still enthralled watching you travel into places I have never explored. Keep it sky side up.

I'm SO glad you had a clip in the intro of you spilling the fuel all over the place. I recently just filled my own tanks for the first time on a cross country and did the same thing and chalked it up to a n00b mistake. I guess it continues to happen as the flight hours grow!
6yjjk
6yjjk Mês atrás
I met an old-timer once who said you should put a little in and release, see if it really did stop. If it didn't, you'd have the whole tank to figure out how to shut the thing off. Kind of like checking the brakes as soon as you begin to move, instead of when you need to stop.

It seems impossible, but each video seems better than the previous one! I really like it when you bring Rachel and/or Owen. Rachel is gorgeous and also looks like lots of fun, a great combination. Owen is knowledgeable and reliable (and well-dressed). Also, you always have the very best music! Due to the professionalism of the shots and the quality of the music, I watch several videos over and over again. Some of the best ones I forward to my friends. Also, I went to Telluride and stayed at the Mountain Lodge where you went with Owen in one video. I told a manager there it was YOUR video that led me come.

Heading to Alaska this summer in our Comanche but going to do the inside passage up through Ketichan. Would be curious to see more info on clearing Canadian customs as I'm pretty sure going up we are going to be stopping in Port Hardy BC. That takeoff out of Hamilton had me sucking up my seat cushion...........
