A brand-new trailer for FINAL FANTASY™ VII REBIRTH debuted at State of Play.
The highly anticipated new standalone story in the critically acclaimed FINAL FANTASY VII remake project will release on February 29th, 2024 for the PlayStation®5 (PS5™) console.
The Unknown Journey Continues...
After escaping from the dystopian city of Midgar, Cloud and his friends set out on a journey across the planet. New adventures await in a vibrant and vast world - sprint across grassy plains on a Chocobo and explore expansive environments.

I’m 40 years old, I played the original in 1997 when it was new. It quickly became one of my favorite titles ever. To see this game being remade into a trilogy on modern hardware is absolutely mind boggling and awesome and a total trip to have witnessed. I’ve been gaming since Atari 2600, watching it evolve to what it is today and having grown up alongside it, has been incredible to say the least. I’ve literally seen it all and I’m not done yet 😎

Everything in this trailer is amazing🎉. And I saw Vincent and My bad boy Rufus and I was really waiting for that. There is actually one thing more I wish we got to see, is if we going to get a boss fight with Tseng I mean that will be awesome. I was mid way through the first game before I realized escaping Midgar would probably be the end of part 1. They did great expanding every part of the ps1 game into the remake. I mean they made a whole chapter on the ghost yard and that was only a 5minute run through lol I'm so thrilled to play part 2. And sadly I think we all know what is going to happen to a certain character at the end of part 2

0:57 Hojo and Cloud are talking. Hojo mentions "your brothers are having a get together down there" Hojo was at Northern Crater During Reunion, but later in the trailer we see clones in what appears to be Mideel and going into a structure which could be the Temple of the Ancients. But in OG, Hojo was only ever at the crater. Something to think about

Please note: the mobile game, Ever Crisis, is going to intersect with Rebirth; how remains to be seen. I’m really happy to see how they’ve treated the world of VII, even with the Segway riding. I love the use of the polygon models for the Golden Saucer game and even Chocobo racing looks like it could be its own standalone.

Didn't in the original the gold chocobo had all the abilities of the other ones and had long distance water running that's how you got to the island to get the summon "Knights of the Round" been so long ago idk. I remember reseting my PS before it saved over and over again during breeding to get the Golden one lol😅😂

This one looks, with all my respect, one million times better than the first chapter of the remake, and so much faithfull to the original, I can't believe how much they've included in this one, having in mind this is rumoured to be a "three part remake" this was an amazing trailer filled with what we wanted to see, I honestly think this is one of the best Final Fantasy trailers I've watched in years, and I friggin' loved the FFXVI ones.

Wow, so much material from the original in the second part. If you consider how big the original is and how long the first part of the remake takes. If the style was maintained, the game must be gigantic. Apparently it is, after all it is announced with 2 blue rays. I don't think this has ever happened before. Nevertheless, I'll wait to buy it until part 3 of the trilogy is published. Not that it ends up being abandoned in the middle. I don't want to end up with something unfinished

Gees, It just gets better and better. After playing the first remake I'm excited for this one. It's such a good feeling to revisit the past back from ps1 many years ago, now into the new gen gaming of the remake. It is truly special that they are giving this to us. I always hated when people complained about part 1 only being a small portion of the game. It was clear from the first moment it was conceived that it would be a MASSSSSSIVE undertaking for that team. They have to give it the time and care and attention it deserves or it could have literally ended the team making it. They delivered with part 1 in spades, and this looks to be absolutely godlike. I am truly speechless after seeing it. And I got misty eyed

Wow I wish I had a time machine so I could show this to my 18 year old self back in 1997. I still haven't played the first remake because I wanted access to the entire story right away. I can't wait for this!

I doubt you’ll have to wait too long after rebirth. They already confirmed they’re working on the third title, so I would say another 5 years at most but honestly I could see it coming out 3-4 years

OMG! Sephiroth joins forces with Cloud?! Oh, this is going to be good! I was NOT expecting that! And that line said from the silver-haired man himself, 'Do not be deceived. You know the truth. Trust in me', sent thousands of shivers down my spine! That villain/hero team attack between Cloud and Sephiroth BLEW MY MIND! Seeing them fight side by side instead of against each other is going to be CRAZY! Even if I don't have a PS5, I hope EVERYONE enjoys the game when it comes out! PS: When Sephiroth said 'Am I the same as these monsters? Am I even...human'? I cried! I wanted to hug him! I praise Tyler for NAILING that dialogue!

Love how the trailers are slowly progressing throughout the game. First one was about Nibelheim flashback, second was basic open world and Mythril Mine, and now we’re all the way up to Junon, Cosmo Canyon, and even the return to Nibelheim
