@TheReal Phakee Eli is not just a pro, he's a superbowl MVP. Every player that got drafted in the NFL, even if they never start, was very good in college. Walk-ons might never actually play in college. Yeah, huge difference.

Yep. He was like 40 and absolutely cooking dudes like 25-2 in 1on1. He was a career bench player only ever averaged like 2.5 pts a season as his best, but still dominated the best local guys.

@Justin Howe Sure, like the Pats win against Seattle I suppose? I mean, that wasn't a spectacular interception by the Pats CB Malcom Butler on the goal line to deny the Seahawks - it was just pure luck, right? Only a fool would say such a thing, or that any team was lucky to get a Super Bowl victory. Why did you have to take his comment the wrong way? It was a compliment to Brady. No one is discounting Brady's and NE's accomplishment - they are the gold standard. But give the Giants and Manning their due. They are 2-0 against Brady and NE in the Super Bowl.
Jesse Jordache
Jesse Jordache 17 dias atrás
@Guinness32 I know, right? Seahawks blow a Superbowl because Pete Carroll thinks it's good idea to "burn a down" and the first pro-Athlete tweet 15 seconds later was "Tom Brady GOAT CONFIRMED". Like, Tom Brady has a pretty good argument for being the best QB of all time, but that particular ring is more "Pete Carroll worst play caller all time CONFIRMED".

Watching this as a 56 year old lifelong Cowboy fan, obviously I find myself enjoying and actually "gasp" liking Eli Manning...ugh, never thought my mouth would ever utter that phrase lol. Seriously, he is very likable and he and Peyton remind me of the competitions with my little brother. Sibling rivalry and the special bond with brothers never leaves you! Good stuff Eli!!

Eagles fan here. It's impossible to dislike this guy. Strahan was another one from the Giants of that era who you had to like. That must have been a fun group of players to root for.

@John Nelson Yes John and they are very entertaining! Definitely like Eli much better than when he was on the field lol. Very likable man. Nice of Coach Franklin, one of the classiest head coaches in the world, to go along with this stunt. I can't imagine him not giving his coaches the heads up before hand so they could still be objective about the other walk-ons. Chad was right, some of those short passes definitely going to leave a mark on those receiver's chests! And each one of those kids will be double dog motivated to chase their Div 1 football dreams. Go Lions!

@Qualicum Jack Coaching is the norm, because at all levels the majority of guys that are coaching used to play at that level. Yeah, not many Hall of Fame guys like the Mannings become coaches but i would guess that at the least 80 percent of guys who coach in the NFL used to play in the NFL or played high level football...and that's my point. There are other options other than being a coach
Qualicum Jack
Qualicum Jack 2 meses atrás
@JeremiahTalksSports Im not saying one way or the other, but you saying “u can stay close to the game and not coach” implies that coaching is the norm, when it is in fact extremely rare for players of Peyton’s calibre
JeremiahTalksSports 2 meses atrás
@Qualicum Jack Maybe that's just your own opinion. Why stay close to the game and be a coach just to end up looking for another job in a year or two? New coaches these days rarely last, and if the head coach is fired then llkely his whole staff is looking for another job. The good thing about the Manning's is that they make their own schedule and get more time with their families so i think what is more exceptional is up to each individual
Qualicum Jack
Qualicum Jack 2 meses atrás
@JeremiahTalksSports Yeah well really it would be more exceptional to stay close to the game and BE a coach. I don’t know of any top level players like Peyton who became coaches after. Usually they become broadcasters

"Fast Chad" 🤣😂 Eli is hilarious in this video LOL... I didn't know he had it in him lol I always thought he was the shy one. This whole video is the first for me LOL I've never seen Eli say more than a couple words or make more than one facial expression. This is weird. Fast Chad is strange

It's incredible that they were able to get perfect audio, and perfect shots with perfect lighting, without anybody noticing all the boom mic's, huge ESPN cameras, professional camera men and crew,. It's truly an amazing acheivment if you think about it haha. And on top of that, ESPN seems to have fooled everyone in this comments section as well, which is equally impressive LOL. Seriously everyone, this shade started with the Lebron James video, which I have to admit fooled me the first time I watched it, until someone suggested it might be fake, and then it was suddenly obvious. Think about it everyone.

Just goes to show you how truly elite NFL QB’s are. Their skill automatically stands out in a room full of guys that think they can put a ball on a dime.

@CHRISTINE JONES all im saying is in this day and age 60% completion rate should be expected. In the video eli barely did 50% thats awful. Ok the wrs and college tryers so are the CBs.

@Jone Andi Eli was probably used to receivers with a bit more speed

@Jone Andi For what? It's not Eli's fault the walk-on tryout receivers can't catch. The ball hit their hands. Most of my brothers played football. They were told if the ball hits your hands, you should be able to catch it.

Even though the Penn coach knew Eli. I saw him thinking about if it'd been a real tryout goal mine find. Run it back to see his expression on some of Eli's long throws...

Skits like this was awesome to the the high power, be great to see Eli as Nick (already played as Chad) and Peyton as Jim and do try out through the colleges...
