I love watching videos of the top people in all fields - video professionals, styling professionals, vocal trainers, dance professionals, RAP specialists, etc. analyzing these girls and explaining their appearance in a way that is easy for the average person to understand. These women are always in the center of the conversation and always pushing towards the top. They are crossing all borders and surpassing everything that has come before.

13:13 I absolutely adore Maya's transition and angle shots. It highlights the choreography and her charisma perfectly! And the way she shrugs off her jacket is so hot as well.

Bro, sometimes I forgot that you're the editor of some big names. But yeah, the mv is fun, the colors and the styling is like the combination of kpop y2k and modern harajuku for me. Some even says that the stars concept reminds them of sailor moon, but futuristic.

Rigend Film is actually really busy and cooking fires only, like how they even had time to do all of those mvs on time. They don't only produce MVs, they also shot branded live performance mvs (Tokopedia x BP x BTS were shot by them), that's the crazy part. I'm actually more of a VM Architecture guy but Rigend's works are super trendy and well executed too.

Imma be honest, I don't really like the song mascara, it's just not for me. But when I heard tippy toes... FORGET IT, I was immediately hooked😍. And now that they released this comeback along with left right, it's just so on point. They're amazing

As a regular watcher of your reaction videos and a new ALPHAZ, I've been waiting for you to react to Shooting Star, and I'm really thankful that you did. XG's goal is to become a global group, which is very ambitious, but at least they are super skilled at dancing, singing, rapping, and more. And another factor which I don't think many people consider is that XG is under XGALX, a joint venture of YG Japan and AVEX, which are two big labels with lots of budgets, and they're very willing to invest in quality MVs like this one and purposely build an international image. So I think it's only a matter of time (1-2 years?) before XG gets huge like big kpop gen 4 girl groups out there. XG is also currently receiving lots of praise and gaining new international fans (like me), so I believe things will turn out well for XG this year!!!

They are meant to be an international Group, the Members originally being from Japan, they've only sang English in their 4 Songs that they've released yet but for some reason only are promoting in Korea and rather not so heavily international.

I've literally been waiting for this from the song dropped

Istg that the first time I hear this song after the Galz Xypher, I was so happy with the intro and then with the rest of the song I was like "meeeeh". But when I saw (and paid attention) to the MV, along with the lyrics, the quality, their voices, the choreo, outfits and everything, I was ABSURDLY AMUSED (and impressed). It is just so much fun. The song is amazing, the quality is amazing and everything about them just make you enjoy the musing and MV so much. XG is, indeed, the future! 🌠

The more I watch this music video, the more I have in my mind that it's like modern digital Tenebrism and Pre-Raphaelite paintings mashed together to differentiate the harder rap verses from the softer R&B chorus. The tiny, almost unnoticeable details are what I appreciate the most though, purely for the fact that it's got a certain whimsical charm to them. Most, if not all reaction videos never point them out, like when Chisa slaps away the star in the first Pre-Chorus. The hand flicking away Juria on a cloud right when the snare hits on the second Pre-Chorus is absolutely satisfying and I'm glad somebody finally pointed that out along the things I love about the music video.

There is one MV I know of that uses a similar side shot (13:13) and it's in Astro's Knock, I never thought I would see something like again until Shooting Star. The hold that single shot has on me is crazy.

XG's new MVs are really good and it really established their group's personality. It shows a lot from their visuals to their talents. Rigend Films really did a good job with XG's MV. I hope you'd stay tuned for The Boyz's Comeback on the 20th! It was also produced by Rigend Films.

3:17 Yes! I’m not even an editor or cinematographer but that shot was so intriguing to me because I thought the exact same thing. You just never see that in kpop. I think the closest thing I have seen is the doing a quick zoom around the object from that angle to a normal view. No other kpop MV is topping this one this year. P.S. I know xg isn’t kpop but I feel this is the most comparative category to comparing their stuff to as opposed to, say, western pop artists.

as I expected, the most replayed part was the 2nd chorus. Everything was perfect, especially that camera angle while doing the body roll was freaking good and satisfying tbh.

I love these videos when you clearly love the work the editors did in the mvs and you get so into the technicalities of editing!! You should also watch their Left Right mv, I dunno if it has a lot of editing tricks but the y2k style is really well done

It's interesting how at 2:15 it not only uses the chopped-up flashes that Jordan mentions, but actual light flashes as well at 2:18. Light flashes on different parts of Harvey's face, and sometimes not at all.

Here for your analysis but I love how you almost stopped describing and just vibed with the choreo in the last half of the video. Shooting Star obviously manifests their desire to become a globally acknowledged group, and in this MV their doing some job to deliver peace, inspiration, diversity etc - whatever you saw on the receipt. I guess those app-ish shots are to add some details to it.
