An interesting concept is the limit of things, like how tall does a stack of blocks have to be for it to be a tower, and when does it stop being a tower.

Really to me it seems like "what something is or isnt" is just about labels, and we as humans only use labels to practically understand things. As with the paper and crane thing, Its not actually a crane its just a series of folds to make the paper look like a crane. Additionally cranes arent exactly a thing because its just a series of traits we decided made up an arbitrary species we call cranes. Labels and identity are only used when they are useful and its only ever useful to the observer. I think the term "real" here falls a bit flat when examining the value or truth of something's existence because as long as something is observable and understandable and has an impact on the observer it is "real" practically, even if not some sort of universal or cosmic sense. When you talk about defining an object I think that is where the problem is found. A Chair is not defined by what it is made up of. A chair is a tool created for the purpose of people to sit on. One could use a stone for a chair, but unless that stone was intentionally curated or manipulated for sitting than it isnt a chair. Additionally you could create a chair too small for people to sit in and that is meant to look like a traditional chair, but isnt an actual chair. The physicality of objects does not define what they are so much as describe the concept we have established for communication and abstraction. Another example is a country. There is no physical way to describe a nation or nationality, but they are very real. So again It seems the term "real" isnt really very effective when trying to discern whether something objectively exists because every thing we imagine that exists physically is just a concept at its root. Everything is made up of subatomic particles and the combinations of those particles defines how it acts and reacts to the world around it, but humans with our limited senses and brain power have to filter the data of the universe through our brain and channel it into a concept. I guess its similar to that argument that "you never really touch anything because there is always subatomic space between atoms", sure you can choose to objectively "know" that, but it offers no real value to us humans and if anything undermines our senses which evolved to help us survive in this world.

Sorry things still exist here's why: The properties and identity of the whole are not the same as the sum of the properties and identties of it's indevidual componants (though both have properties describing the relationship between them) but both exist, one partially-dependant on the other. That is why the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. A set, described as "the chair and it's componants" has more properties and a greater identity than the chair or the set of it's componants alone. Even so, how we choose to define a "chair" has no baring on any indevidual chair's identity, other than our relationship to it. Identities can change over time, also. (Or rather shift from future-tense to present tense to past tense.) The object we identify as the crane made of paper, can change into a crumpled paper, which has a property of being, formerly, a crane. Similarly the set of blocks can be arranged into a tower and then toppled, it's identity and properties change over time, but that doesn't make it any less real. The indevidual componants mostly retain their own identity; their relationship with the rest of the set and their relative position in space-time is the only thing that changes. Sure things can transition into and out of sets, as their properties change one could even argue "in transition" is property some properties have at some points in time. As the "incar" (a car with a property of being in a garage) becomes an "outcar" (a car with a property of not being in a garage) it's identity is neither an incar or an outcar but a car, with a property of leaving the garage (or a property of transitioning between the "incar properties" and "outcar properties")

The paper is substance, the crane is form; they are not the same, the crane is a possible state of the state-variable paper, an adjective to its noun. There is no dilemma.

So the next question is, I suppose, can one Michael? For example, if I were to create a channel, call it vsauce, and make a video on it that explains a concept thoroughly, in which I start it with "Hey Vsauce, Michael here..." And proceed to use my best impressions of Michael and remain true to the thoroughness of explanation, provide the same kind of examples, and quality of content and graphics and sounds and conclude in the same way, would I then be stuff in the universe that is Michaeling, and therefore be Michael at least for the duration of the video?

Everything is a Concept & Pattern. Different patterns of simples are called Concepts. Therefore everything physical or abstract objects are all concepts. Simples are the "individual separated units" formed in our mind. Every reality is a duality and is created by human's Pure-consciousness and prakruti(creatrix). We can consider pure-consciousness as opposite of prakruti. Instances of Reality formed by pure-consciousness & prakruti are--- Something & nothing, individual & whole, existence & non-existence, happy & sad, fiction & non-fiction, illusion & disillusion etc. Instances like whole & nothingness comes under pure consciousness, and Instances like separated individuals & somethingness comes under prakruti. Therefore concepts(delusions) which are called as "relative reality" are created by prakruti, and absolute unending reality is created by human's pure consciousness.

17:40 boundries can be defined as functions of objects. If an objects loses its functionality after a certain point, its objectively different than it was before, such as a 'broken' chair. While still being what represented the original criteria of chair features, losing its functionality and being recognisable makes it change into a different concept. Therefore, chairs can exist in many forms and they are all fantastic, as long as they are either recognisable, functional or both at the same time.
