Art exists as a medium of feelings and emotions, and if cursing is a medium to express their feelings through art, then let them be. Toxic positivity where every thing "negative" is considered "bad" isn't helping anyone. People vibe with music that represent their current moods/feelings, including "bad" ones. "Us" is a lot of people. I'm not a fan, to be honest and I'm Puerto Rican. Attacked every single time I put it out there. I don't understand all the cursing and objectification of women in some of his songs. Perhaps he's so popular because he's "weird" and has done things in a different way. I don't mind the cross-dressing. Whatever makes people happy it's great. That I respect, and I respect the fact that he's creative and authentic, but I can't say I'm proud of him or that he represents Puerto Ricans. Perhaps younger streetstyle culture and lower classes. People with a descent education don't curse every 5 minutes? Let's not normalize cursing please. It makes us come across as more ignorant and dangerous than we actually are. I feel bad for the women that actually enjoy or won't even realize they're being objectified or in dysfunctional relationships.
