YES YES!!! Please let Natsuki take the reigns ( not like you did the 🐎 Chris) Lol I'd love to see what's inside that eccentric mystery, a.k.a., Nasuki's brain. 🤓

@Abroad in Japan How about this: A 5-7 part series where you go on a day trip every day of the week, and each day a different person plans everything. Like, a day with Joey dragging you around, then another day with Sharla, Ryotaro, etc., with Natsuki being the grand finale!

I may join in my interest to learn how to eat slower, haha. If I'm hungry, any food in front of me just instantly noclips into my body and disappears.

I love the subtle filming techniques that Chris keeps using. blurring shots for a fraction before panning into them, panning in different directions every shot, and getting shots that have multiple focal points in them. Idk im not a filmmaker but I can tell this channel keeps improving on its (already solid) techniques. Keep it up Chris!

Ryotaro can open a “Hidden Jam” company with a slogan of “More strawberry than strawberry”. 😆🍓🍓

Actually, "more xfruit than xfruit" is a common Japanese saying and other companies use it already. It just means an intense, concentrated taste that captures the essence of the fruit. I was surprised that Chris missed that bc he is generally good with Japanese cultural /linguistic references.

2:55 The Asahi Headquarters building really was built to emulate a mug of beer, but Ryotoro skipped mentioning the more (in)famous part of that complex which is partially visible to just to the right - the "Flamme d'Or" - known colloquially as "The Golden Turd". The architect intended the structure to be a golden flame representing the spirit of the Asahi Brewery workers. If you take a Sumida River boat tour, it will take you right by both buildings as well as give a great view of the Tokyo Skytree.

I love how the traditional Japanese breakfast looked healthy and fresh and fancy and here I am in America eating a stack of sugar, flour, and butter covered in strawberries and syrup. I'd love to have traditional Japanese breakfast everyday but I don't think I could ever give up dessert for breakfast! Once again awesome video!
Honestly, i find Ryotaro hilarious. That conversation about how he eats his shaved ice was the best!

My love for the Japanese culture, and the country overall, has grown over the past few years, and it's 110% on my bucket list, to visit the place in the future, and hopefully, learn the language beforehand. Absolutely love your content.

I just have to say, that I really liked this episode. The tone, the music (jazzy lounge - really fitting for a city tour in my opinion), the clean shots and transitions. Made even me a bit nostalgic - even though I've never been to japan. Additionally there's something about a rainy city at night and wet streets throughout the day thats just really appealing to me. (There are quite a lot episodes I liked just as much as this one, with different but fitting tones for some of your other city trips or your (longer) trips with Ryotaro in northern Japan for example) All in all really relaxing to watch - just when I needed that. Thanks for that.

I miss travelling in Japan again .Thanks for bringing back a lot of memories in Asakusa. The anko taiyaki near the temple was one of the best taiyaki i've ever tried. There is also an unagi restaurant near that area with a very cheap price. We saw a lot of people queueing outside the restaurant when it's launch time. It took us one hour to wait but it definitely the best unagi i've ever tried.

Loved this video! I almost immediately recognized the ryokan as the one across the street from my wife's and my favorite monjayaki place, Edo Monja Hyotan. Loved the video, especially the cyberpunky parts would be a must visit for me.

Ryotaro's perfect reciting of an airport greeting, with a slight sexual edge, followed up by Chris' "disappointment" comment. Comic genius. No voice breaks, despite how out-of-place it is, just perfectly smooth delivery.
