I bought a Vertix from a dealer 3600km, away and they are shipping it to me. How come they can ship and you can't? What is Mathews policy on shipping?
Better Outdoors Archery Pro Shop
Cool!! Here in the US, the dealer rules for Mathews do not allow us to ship unfortunately.

Pretty fucking fast, but what pussy moron is shooting a 375 grain arrow??? You're asking for wounded animals! I'm shooting 475 at 300 FPS with my 75 pound Vertix fool

I shot most of the 2019/18 flag ship bows this summer and how dead in the hand post shot this bow is and the fact that this bow is QUIET.... like stupid quiet is what sold me on vertix.

@Better Outdoors Archery Pro Shop Thanks for the reply. Do you prefer this style of release to a wrist release? I'm new to archery so I'm trying to decide which would be more practical for hunting.

I used the Truball T-Rex for this review. I like it and the Rave alot!

Man. I just want to say thanks for the awesome genuine description of the Vertix. . This is the bow I have had my heart on, but can’t fully commit until I can shoot one to make sure it’s what I hope it is. I have had a PSE X Force for nearly 12 years, and have become attached to it. I bought a new Matthews almost 20 years ago and I think I’m ready to go Matthews again. I Have been able to harvest many animals with it, however I am getting bow fever again. If I was to come to your shop, is the tuning you was talking about included with the purchase of a new bow, or is that extra ? I appreciate how you don’t just slap some sites and a rest on and call it good enough. I have always fine tuned my bows after them being set up by a pro shop, because they was either sloppy or just not done neat and complete. I would love to come buy this bow from you and have it set up professionally, and fitted to me specifically for me. We live about 5 hours away, but I would do it to have such good service. Thanks for the awesome review of the Vertix.
Better Outdoors Archery Pro Shop
Thank you for the kind words Sam!!! We absolutely go through everything we possibly believe in our Stage 3 Plus tune which is included with every flagship bow we sell. Let us know when you would like to come down and we can make an appointment for you 🏹

Fantastic video sir! I just shot one against all the other '19 bows. I was blown away over how smooth (polished) it is.... I'm sold on it now.

Thank you for watching!!! There are plenty of great bows this year but the Vertix is one of the most well polished!

@Better Outdoors Archery Pro Shop I have a Vertix too with the 85% mods, and I've been wanting to try the 80% mods. What poundage is your personal Vertix set at, and which mods do you prefer?
Better Outdoors Archery Pro Shop
They were with the 85% modules. Testing the speed difference on the 80% is the next to try! I have some on my personal Vertix and really like the feel.

I live right outside of St.Louis. I just sold my Creed and will be buying a Vertix very soon. After seeing your videos I can honestly say I will be driving the 4 hours to your store and make my purchase. You are soo informative and thorough and knowledgeable and I appreciate all of that! Can't wait to make the trip!

I love Matthews bows, but I got about 7 minutes into this video & no zoom in on the bow on what your talking about & I’m cutting ur video off. Very unprofessionally made video. Even if you are not a professional have a camera person to zoom in on what you talking about.....On to another Vertix review.

I could not decide between the Vertix or Traverse. Bought the Vertix. Love it. Thank you for the 60# speed test. Nobody does this, they all test 70#. I shoot 60#, so thanks. It is very fast, very quiet, and no hand shock. Pretty stable for a shorter bow.

I like the traverse the best bow just didn't love those new grips so ended up with my first Hoyt ever helix ultra and definitely not the fastest but absolutely love the grip and holds great on target

"Smooth is a bit of a buzzword" Hell yes! Literally every bow review in the last few years (aka as long as i've been involved in archery) has said the bow is "smooth". It means nothing. If a bow is not smooth in 2019, you can buy something else for the same money.

I own a lot of Mathews bows, dislike the twin cam bows currently offered by any company. Mathews has become Hoyts fussy bows to tune. Split limbs, top hat to balance the difference between limbs top and bottom. No longer efficient bows or easy to tune. I keep going back to my 2005 switchback simply because it’s better

Not easy to tune lol 1st shot is bullet holes. top hat system is better then any system on the market LOL try a Hoyt and twisting strings over and over and over each time needs to be thrown in a bow press, Mathews tune very very very easy, timing is even easier. Ask your bow shop, if you're having problems then you might be new to playing with these bows?

Zebra strings are garbage! My serving separated from my string after 3 months of having my bow, I took photos of it, pretty ridiculous and irritating that Mathews would keep using these junk strings

@Mathews Triax No trouble with what? Zebra strings? Lol dude the strings start out 3-5 pounds harder then the advertised poundage and as you shoot the strings stretch multiple times, then it drops down to 70-71 if your bow is still at a higher poundage you haven't shot your bow enough, like I said send me your email I'll show you photos of all my tore up stuff, I have a dirt trail to my targets from walking back and forth, I've went through every Zebra string in 3-4 months, if you're not having problems with your string or never replaced them I'm done talking, but I'll gladly share emails and you can send me the deer you killed and I'll show you all my animals

@God sees all!!! I do shoot that much. I have no trouble what's so ever.

@Mathews Triax Zebras are junk, and if you shot that much that string would fall off, if you don't replace your strings every 8 months at least you don't shoot that much ;)

@Mathews Triax I shoot about 100 arrows a day no less then 20, I have up to 70 yards right outside my door. I just get new GAS strings on shot those shitty Zebra strings up in 3 months. I'll make this string last me a while, I have 4 targets the Matrix 2 Rinehart Rhino block XLs and the Block which is just a table but will stop my arrows kind of lol I'm getting 9 inches penetration on a new Rinehardt shooting 77 pounds and 465 grain arrows, send me your email and I'll send you a ton of bulls, bucks, and state record Black bear I killed last year

I love the Mathews Vertix that I shot but I think Mathews needs to charge there shipping options. I ordered a Mathews Vertix on April 2 - still waiting for it to be delivered to my pro shop. The annoying part is - I live in Illinois and I am 4 hours away from Sparta WI which their HQ is located at - 2 weeks.

Ready too go after tuning and sighting back in. There is no hump or hand shock in the Triax or Vertix.. I think the Vertix felt like my Halon 6. Just a touch more dampened. The 85% lo is good if you focus. It will want too go. But when letting down it's hard. You can hold the Triax and Vertix back 5 min, with out shaking. I like 75% lo better. It makes you focus. Makes you a better shooter. I want 75% mods for my Triax. The Triax and Vertix are so quiet/silent. Someone standing next too you. They cant hear the bow go off until the arrow hits the target. You're getting good speeds out of that bow. My Triax 390 grain 308-310. 420 gr 296-298. You tune that with the 75lb mods on it. You will get even more speed.

I liked that bow but I liked the treverse more held better on Target had a nicer string angle and Drew back more smooth then the vertix but really both still nice bows and couldn't have gone wrong with either
Hoytshooter 1990
Hoytshooter 1990 Anos atrás
@Better Outdoors Archery Pro Shop true I ended up buying the treverse over the verux for those reasons but I did like the vertix just wanted a longer bow this time around my last couple of hoyts have been 30 inch ata could shoot them fine but like the feeling if the 33 more and the treverse just seems like a do it all bow while the vertix is more towards just hunting but still able to do a blend of everything just not as good as the treverse but that's just me and everyone has different feelings
Better Outdoors Archery Pro Shop
It's hard to pick between those two! It boils down to the customer preference and what they intend to do more of. The Traverse review will have a twist to it!

Did you measure what the bow measured poundage wise with the limb bolts bottomed out with the 75lb modules?
Better Outdoors Archery Pro Shop
Them going to 80 is sweet! My 60lb one made 64 out of the box. Send us a PM on some mods and we'll go from there.
Mathews Triax
Mathews Triax Anos atrás
With 75 mods there actually around 78lb to 79lb
Better Outdoors Archery Pro Shop
Thanks for watching! We did check on a few different ones as weve sold them. Typically new they come in 2 or 3 pounds above the mods peak weight. That's for all mods too. It's not unrealistic to get 80lbs on a 75lb mod set I dont think.

Top hat, needed because twin came inaccuracy, thinner grip, due to twin came idioincracy issues. So sad they joined the bad bow category. Don’t like any of the 2019 bows from any manufacturers. Bows are getting worse not better

😂😂😂😂😂 I'd challenge anyone with a solo cam to a shoot off! My Vertix is hitting groups of 5 arrows in the smaller circle of a paper plate every time at 60-70 yards, I can shoot 60 yards as good as 40 yards!!!

The Hoyt RX-3 is smoother, quieter and has less vibration than 2018's RX-1. The 2019's Prime CT line are a more polished Prime Logic iterations. The Bowtech Realm SR6 offers more speed than the Realm despite its longer ATA. Vertix, Traverse and TX-5 have better grip than last year Mathew's Triax while keeping the quietness and deadness in hand of that model, and the Vertix lets you ram up the poundage from 60 to 75# just buying a $ 50 module instead of paying x3 that amount for a set of limbs. You don't have to buy a new bow each year, the same as you don't need to buy a new phone each time a company releases a new product, but stop talking non sense: all in all those brands keep binging up better bows year after year.

Great review! Was hoping you were going to shoot a little lighter arrow with the 75lb mods though! I have the 75 lb mods and 29.5 inch draw , I absolutely love the bow! Haven’t speed tested her yet with my 411 grain set up I’m curious what it would be! Again, great review!

Man it should be a hammer like that! We debated a lighter arrow for that portion but the 460gr seemed to make most sense especially with how stiff an arrow will need to be for 29.5/75lb! Thanks for watching, be on the lookout for more!
